  4. Been discussing it with the missus alot lately and decided the time is right. I took her out for dinner friday night, got down on one knee, took her hand and looked into her eyes and told her how much she means to me and popped the question. Got the answer back rather quick and i have burn marks on my hand where the ring was sitting which is now on her hand :) Came home and had Champagne and flowers waiting. Looking to get married in Bali and then coming back home to legit it with the government. I will get better pic of the ring when i can pry it from her hand :)

  10. cheers mystik yep thats right check out the last page i did alot of calculations purely so that anyone on a tight budget can make this happen, the key is early planning we started collecting our bottles and cans 4 months prior to the trip which got us 60 dollars and during the 4 months we had little coffee jars that we droped all our spare coins in when there was loose change. by the time the trip came around there was no sudden cash outlay and camp site fees were paid some in advance http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=28915 here is some more good advice about doing long trips worth a read for those who are real about doing this.
  11. Awesome good to see some interest already. The reason i started thinking about this now is because to get most cars in top shape for such a trip sometimes takes some cash to fix things and cash takes a while to accumulate for example. I need to have my exhaust completely redone as i broke the hanger in the GOR 09 caravan park speed hump which made the exhaust drop and snap off at the header flange plus i hate the exhaust. While the exhaust is on the cards i should replace the clutch before i get that done. Need to recon the radaitor and reseal some fittings. Wheel bearings need to be completely replaced on the front and wheel aligned. The Kevin Rudd bonus is going to help. Also don't want to get too personal but having an insured car would be nice, wouldnt want to have an accident with a TE27 tureno and tell the guy you have no insurance.
  12. Hi all, i was just getting curious about anyone wanting to go in 2010 (Edit) Date now added for those starting to ask questions about when australia day is for 2010, Tuesday 26th Jnauary.
