  1. That gives me a ballpark figure :) You're probably right! I'd be even better off buying an RX impreza for about what i'd spend on a tincan, which would do basically the same thing, except without the fun factor. Those pictures look awesome man, has the catch can been a real good move?
  2. Makes me want a tin can even more :) What kind of cost has this car come to, in current trim? All good if you don't feel like sharing, just wouldn't mind a rough idea (off p's I'd happily do an engine conversion in an auto one) Any plans for forced induction? Imagine how much more go you'd have down the straight ;)
  3. Soft ;) Aha I kid :) I figured it'd just be better than what was previously happening with the lines pissing out everywhere. Would be a possible power saving, too. That's so good for a streetable setup mate. Going to run the 'new' rubber next time you assault the racetrack? Sorry for asking so much chatter, just genuinely taken an interest in this car.
  4. Thought you'd ditch power steering? I would in that thing, it'd give you more feel through corners, used to love driving my old '92 without it. Sounds like you've got a fun day ahead! She's got an '04 Ascent, but I need an auto incase she ever needs to drive me (when I magically go from designated driver to 'oops, sorry love, just had a beer') Think you'd hit a 1:46 around Winton with everything fixed? It'd be grouse to even be nudging the 1:45s!
  5. Are there any other things you could do to bolster reliability? It's a top little car, just never gets a long run without something going a little wayward. Would kill to have one of these in auto (can't get a manual, missus refuses to learn).
  6. Potentially the coolest looking AE corolla on RollaClub. Those pictures really do capture Melbourne's shithouse weather!
  7. Being a pizza delivery boy I support this recent discussion ;)
  8. Serious?!?! Aw damnit :( Sounds like it's going to be so immaculate I may just need to have a shave and shower before being in its presence. I'll do my best to, either in the ute or within the next three months an Ae corolla :)
  9. WMMH: Feel amazing. Just one of those 'awesome' moods, despite having to go to work soon and being buggered from gardening all day. Loving life right now. One thing missing.. COROLLA
  10. Everyone here is well mannered. You'll always have disagreements and then every so often the school holidays bring out the complete spuds, but the tone on the forum is always above par in comparison to most other car club forums around. Kudos to the mods, the donors and the regular members for making this place a safe and enjoyable way to express our love, hate and frustration at the world's best cars. Just my $0.02c
  11. Didn't even get a facebook message telling me you were in Kilsyth yesterday, kinda shattered mate! Looking the goods on both fronts :) Are there any other things that were factory optioned you may do to the ke70?

Looks good mate, hope to see it out and about when you get it back on the road. I'm just around the corner in Croydon so if you need some help, just let us know!
  13. That's grouse! ECU would open up a lot of doors for tuning and mapping. Any ideas what ECU you'd run? Even with your foot to the floor, that's less than $10 for 100k driving, you gotta be happy about that! Sorry if I missed it, but what sized tank are you running? LPG has always been a fascination of mine. This is ultimately proof that it's the way to go. On a side note: Sick of the BBQ/Taxi jokes? Or are most people kind?
  14. Exhaust would probably be all you'd need to do. Every household needs a boat
  15. Plan C for sure. Do it! Sunroof would be awesome to have!
  16. Far out, that's pretty clean! Call me strange, but I prefer these over the VS stato for looks by a mile. Any plans despite the title of 'daily'?
  17. Stomach problems.. Flatulence may be amusing some of the time, but not all of the time.. last two days all ive done is pass enormous, loud, smelly wind.. Stomach pump anyone?
  18. Thank you :)
  19. Possible to change my name to Kid-Ae?
  20. Just cannot find any complacency in the cars I buy/own since my first car... Miss having an AE92. So bad. Looking back, i'd have spent the money on putting it on lower springs/shocks, full exhaust system and fixing all the oil leaks. I'd probably have nearly $10k cash in the bank because everything else with that car was awesome. It was underpowered, it was direct with the way it tracked, it NEVER lost traction, it NEVER got looked at by the police and it was a piece of pie to work on.. ʞ©$ɟ my life..
  21. Yeah you've got a point. I just want a 'Get it done right now' solution because it's bugging me. Might put a U bolt on it before driving it to the exhaust place, just to see if it does actually make a difference with it sitting higher.. Also started trolling carsales and ebay again for AE92s.. I'll never get over them lol.
  22. I've heard a lot of praise for Federals. I'll look into it once these wear down a little more. Really? Sound's pretty simple (even for a simpleton like myself) :) In other news.. Sounds like rear uni is crunching a little now if you blip the throttle.. Not bad, but enough for it to warrant being replaced soon. Also going to fix the ghetto exhaust hanger ASAP.. Two pieces of fencing wire are holding the exhaust just after the cat, looks like it's on the rear crossmember of the gearbox.. Sadly the exhaust doesn't have a hanger on it, so rather than weld one, i'll just get a U bolt/shackle and fix it in place. Raising it will get rid of my annoying exhaust thud as it's touching the gearbox somewhere..
  23. No joke, if I had the patience and commitment you do to cars, it would be a gift from God! Wow man, I love how even the tiniest bits are done to perfection. I better make an appearance next time this car is out and about, may just park a street or two away as to not offend RollaClubbers..
  24. Cannot wait to see this thing going! Haha agree with your points mate, do it all the time! Figure out why the intercooler let go? Would've been an interesting sight watching it remove itself.
  25. IF you make it down without anything breaking (so long as you're driving BT hard) then i'd be willing to put a small donation to your primer and filler fund
