Do what I should have done and get some coilovers and put them in yourself. For the price they are worth every cent. Stereo wise, thought about a double DIN unit below the heater controls in the storage area? It all bolts into the standard brackets there quite easily and would set it off Love this ride, I can't wait to be back in one of these

Oh man.. This is so pretty! Definitely need to get this thing out and about once it's done. Show and shine winner in the making with the effort, attention to detail and period style modifications. All it needs now is black and white number plates to set the paint off

They're horrible. Was told one morning with them that it would be three hours to get a jumpstart.. I walked to the servo a street from where my car has stopped working and gave the guy $10 to jumpstart me. Was more than happy to do it and he even tested the battery for me once we got it going.

Alright, so replaced castor bushes, havnt done strut top mount just yet.. Been searching for cars... To no real avail. Gave Andy a serious wash today followed by armour-alling the interior. Looks a lot nicer now!

Andy's up for sale 1997 VT Acclaim 330,000km, serviced every 10k No funny noises from engine/gearbox/diff. Full electrics Blue in colour (paint in good condition for age) Upgraded headlights (not HID, just 50% brighter) Series 2 Tail lights and side indicators (clear instead of amber) 2.5inch exhaust fitted not long ago, gives it a nice rumble. Pioneer HU, Alpine speakers, Jaycar sub and amp. Rear brakes have done less than 5000km (rotors and pads) VY SS 17" Wheels with roadworthy tires. Only selling as have been offered a car at a good price and can't say no (typical me..) Only time the car ever let me down was when the thermostat went on it. $12 later and we were rockin! With a RWC and 6 months rego $3,850 but open to negotiation. Will have new castor bushes and strut top mount fitted before RWC. Up to you if you can be bothered, if not it's cool Wheel alignment is done, car feels weird to drive because the steering is so accurate now. Went looking at cars today... Some people do not realize that if you are selling a car you at the very least give it a vacuum. Saw a car today that had all kinds of stains, dirt and other things inside it...

Glad to see I'm not the only person who ran/runs a decent battery in these things. 55amp (correct me if I'm wrong) isn't a lot from the alternator. Engine bay looks so tidy. Do you find on the EFI models that the airbox is restrictive? Only asking as it's mounted directly over the gearbox and has the battery in front of it. Definitely keen to have a peep at the car. Ashamed to see it while I'm driving a Commodore though, makes my car look horrible lol.

Yeah mate if you'd do that it'dbe much appreciated! Gave the car a run tonight at work, felt pretty good, just pulls to the left a little bit. It'll be fine after it gets the alignment. On the hunt for a Corolla now You never escape them!

Got the painted panels back on today. A week of driving a small car then getting back in it feels strange. VT is definitely slower than the Ascent and takes a lot more braking effort even with good brakes.. Wheel alignment tomorrow and she'll be good as new.
