Pano looks wicked! Love the pic of the 4age with the 4kc sticker on the front

Good point! I think he's not replying because he's busy putting silicone between his skin and his goggles and getting cracking

Haha yeah that one (do'h)... Ahk cool, shall get in touch if I can't find any :) Ry, any 2 doors at any wreckers near you? If you see one on your travels, keep an eye out for interior trims. Will pay you good cash moneys for them ;) Edit: Car also has a set of old school 4 - 1 Pacemakers on it. Surprised..

News: Car is having an auto elec come sort out the wiring bs once and for all on Thursday morning. Didn't really want to fork that much coin out but these guys have done a lot of good work for my dad in the past, and it saves me headaches and a mental breakdown trying to rewire a bunch of things. The work comes with a warranty too, unlike mine . Pulled the calipers off and once I find my pointy nose pliers (bastards always hide when I need 'em) ill switch the pads over from the broken caliper to the good one that needs better pads, go order some new brake hoses and the caps for the brake and clutch master. Also gotta get a new vac advance hose as it fell apart in my hand when I went to take it off . Few other niggly bits and pieces to replace like fan belt etc and we're cookin' on the engine front. Going to buy a BIG tin of degreaser and go through the entire undercarriage with it.

Does this mean the car will be almost done by next week?

Writing out EVERYTHING you want to do to the car, then working out the cost and being pleasantly surprised by just how much you overcompensated for it all Hot women at the new gym I joined Home made hamburgers for dinner tonight! Cannot describe how amazing they smell, the aroma of onion, meat and various sauces/marinades filling the house. I live for my mums cooking!

WMMH: Getting parts you need :)

Haha if gas was the issue I'd just enjoy it! It's just a lot of complicated issues inside my tummy and what I'm doing right now is helping :)

Sparks that I don't want to see. Little sparks are meant to happen, not big ones. Might just go f@$k it and tear all the wiring out for the external reg alternator and set it up with an internal reg unit.
-
Some good news, some not so good. Good news: sorted indicator wiring, was a bad earth and dirty connections. Also got a new external reg for the alternator for a very good price :) Bad news: B+ wire is deciding to spark when i attach it... Not sure why.. Going to either call an auto elec or somebody good with wiring to come sort it out. Don't like wires.. So while the car is sitting there not really going anywhere, on the hunt for parts. Also taking measurements of panels that will be custom made (boot floor, panel that hides fuel tank, parcel shelf etc.) I've heard that with minor mods, a ke70 centre console can be adapted to one of these cars. This true? Would be so much nicer to have a little extra in the way of storage Will take photos today and have them up in the next day or two! Far out I love this car!

I like that idea :) Goodluck with the doctors mate :) What else will you attack on this car other than the sunroof and wheel well? Super impressed with the work on both, but there comes a time when you have to let go of the wheel well

One first thing in the morning, then something more substancial about an hour later. Mine has digestive enzymes cause my guts are stuffed. Going on advice from my stomach specialist, seems to be keeping everything good

That'a boy! Get up, protein shake, coffee, big dookie and we're good :)

Those who cry poor or claim to be "broke" when you know they are not. Go out with a mate, get some food and get to the counter to pay "bro, I'm broke as, can you cover me?" "yep, no worries" Proceeds to also grab a drink and cookies (at Subway) and my $10 dinner turns into a $25 dinner. He earns more than my dad and has no expenses other than a phone bill and $50 a week board. Guess he pisses most of it away..

Great looking car! Good to see some two door loving! Care to take some interior pics? Would love some ideas :) Happen to know of anyone with rear quarter interior trims? Looking for them, harder to find than I thought! Anyway man, this thing is mean and I'm SO glad you're ditching those vaults Subscribing now! Cheers, Sam

Payday :D Meaning that I can have stuff done to the car (ie.electrical shit that I don't want to f@$k up) by somebody qualified :) Another thing that makes me REALLY happy New tools :)

Hope you;re alright mate! If you get REALLY itchy feet and want to get back into it, give us a yell and i'll come glue some goggles to your face before you start playing with ANYTHING that can affect your sight

Unique was a bad choice. Less common would've been a better way to word that. My project car, ke30 2 door, is a lot less common than a commodore or falcon.

So from doing some reading, my understanding is that I, in theory, COULD replace the external reg with the internal reg. The internal reg grounds itself and then the alternator only requires a the usual battery wire and charge wire to be placed on the back via ring terminal/blade terminal on the B+ and D+ terminals. This also means I can remove the messy wiring from the external reg and clean the engine bay a little. Am I even close? Not sure on electrical systems but I'm willing to learn the slow, hard way. Thanks :) (sorry if I sound like an idiot, I just want a better understanding of how it all works).

Never bought it, it was already out of the 4k when I was there and decided not to buy it so I wouldn't f@$k up. Yeah, it's been tested and was struggling to put out 12v. (started the car with a 580cca battery, only one I have that would get it going as the alty has killed the other two) Fuel is for fuel solenoid? Correct me if i'm wrong
-
My problem: - Charge light stays on, kills battery. Solution? Changer alternator! Dilemma - Nippon-Denso unit has a plug on the side (guessing this is neg, earth, fuel). Bosch unit found at wreckers is an internally regulated alternator with a completely different setup. Is there a way to install the Bosch one? Just want to get this sorted before I tackle the rest of the electrical system (kind of helps to have a battery that will hold charge). Thanks.

Being given a pasting for buying another Corolla for a project car. Yes, I own two Corollas. Yes, I love them. No, I am not going to dump a V8 in my project car, nor will I stand around and listen to you insult me as to MY choice, I'm not the kind of person who conforms to the mainstream with a lot of younger guys. Bucket may be slow and Sophia may be in the early stages of potentially a full strip down and rebuild, but both of them have character and charm. So to you guys blinded by Holden badges, here's a little fact for you - I CAN afford your mainstream family sedan, I CAN afford to modify it the same way every other young bloke does. I CAN afford the $80 for a tank of petrol. So why don't I do it? I like cars that are unique. I CHOOSE to drive a car that is underpowered. I CHOOSE to have a second Corolla as a project car, I CHOOSE to do things a little differently and take time to learn, rather than just pay somebody to mod it for me. I CHOOSE to be seen in something that draws zero attention from the police and other road users. I CHOOSE to not look like the stereotypical teenage bloke. Don't get me wrong, I like big cars, but not when every second one has been "modified" the same way.. Where's the creativity? Where is the fun in driving a car that looks the same as other ones out there, even though you've spent a lot of money on all sorts of gear?.. You won't see me owning a family car till the missus pops a kid or two out, and even then, it;ll be under protest that I drive it.. Now THAT rant is over, my second one begins.. Chasing parts for my ke30. Wow, it's painful. Interior wise isn't easy... Nor with a flasher unit for my indicators.. replacement one doesn't work, stock one does when only the indicator and constant are wired up. Wire the hazard up and it shorts the rest of the system. stupid thing.......

Boobs. Nuff said
