Great cruise. Big thanks to the organisers. Was great to meet everyone. Was the first time the corolla has seen some twisties and it performed quite well for a 30 year old car. Just shows that when you get something right the first time it doesn't need changing :cool:

Count me in. Don't know I will do the whole drive but I would like to meet everyone and their cars. Be my first cruise with this car.

Finally got around to watching this and I must say well done! Haven't got much to add from what others have said but I will say that its great to see others with a passion for old corollas. Most of my mates are considering an intervention or booking me in for some help... now at least I can tell them there are others and that we have a support group :D

I have read the FAQ and that weber is listed as being a suitable swap. Does that still apply to a 5k motor though? I am looking for a bit of a performance upgrade that will still be fairly economical... too much to ask?

whiteline makes them and lists autobarn as a distributor so strange they didn't have it. Try bursons they are listed too.

They are 13s but they must be fairly wide as it has 205s on there, so at a guess 6.5" wide? Not the skinny little things they came standard with anyway.

Posted in the VIC thread that I bought a ke30 a few weeks ago. Its a 1974 and is nice and clean. If only my photography was better! Future plans are keep it tidy and maybe go the exhaust, extractors and weber route.

Gday I have a 5k with k50 gearbox and the box is quite notchy and slow. Takes a fair bit of driving before it comes good. So I am assuming that this is because it needs to be warmed up. I have never owned a car of this age before but in previous cars I have always used redline gearbox oil and that has fixed any notchiness. Is it worth forking out the extra for redline? Cheers Dave

Hey everyone, Bought my rolla about 2 weeks ago and have been lurking the forums since then. Getting to know the FAQ and knowledge base before I start posting and maybe say something stupid :D I have a very clean ke30 2 door with a 5k thanks to the previous owner who had it for 22 years. So hopefully i can keep it looking good for the same amount of time. Will get some pics soon and post em up. So anyway... hi and definately count me in if there is a meet/cruise Dave
