  1. a) :hmm:   :bash: Good point, can't deny/argue that. I can say that in the pics I posted nobody was physically harmed nor did any damage occur. However this does not condone the actions, you're right. b) I am an apprentice, then again I'm a few years of life up on most. With the contracts for apprencticeships nowadays it's actually kinda hard to lose your job directly provided you don't do something REALLY stupid. Having said that, your time there can be made hell rather than being fired. c) Sorry to disappoint you, my mental age is yet to catch up with my physical age.
  2. Thanks man! :y: Does this mean I have to drag it out of my parents garage where its currently residing? :P Sailing season's slowly winding down so I will have to go raid people's second hand bits/old spares for some sails! Failing that I'll go with the 'custom-cut' UV rated tarpaulins I have atm :laff: I may possibly be over in Adelaide in June (depends on me playing Korfball still) so will have to try & organise a catchup with some S.A members!
  3. Beer...the universal motivator for mechanical repairs
  4. Also, if you are playing with other drivers/P-platers at the lights, we don't really want to know about it. We don't condone that sort of behaivour here. :no2: Join a car club  , go to a racetrack/controlled environment & get it out of your system there. No police, no pedestrians & no power poles to worry about  My 2AC (according to factory specs) puts out a massive 51 killawasps :P With 98 torques too :laff: So you can see why I just bought a Twin Cam :lolcry:
  5. First up, welcome to the forums! :y: Second, toasticles is right. This question pops up so often it does get a little annoying especially when there's an awesome SEARCH function to be used. Thirdly...Cheap mods to get more power...is there such a thing on small capacity n/a engines? :hmm: Ultimately, a 4AGE conversion will cream a worked 4AC engine for about the same cost, if not LESS. Which may explain the lack of 4AC upgrade information on the net, people don't like peeing into the wind
  6. :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry:
  7. Edit: Yeah, I feel bad...photos removed. See below.
  8. Or do this after playing with epoxy resin...pretty much the same result! I used to come home from work everyday covered in carbon/fibreglass dust, scratching until I bled was a daily occurrence. :(
  9. Fantastic work guys, the car looks awesome (overrated gets thrown around a bit too much so hence the edit) & the licence plate rules!! :rocknroll: Can't wait to see this out & about, hopefully mine wont be far behind. Might have to pop up one day, Sunbury isnt too far from me.
  10. If you want cheap spec, I've got an AE80...C? I don't even get the 'CS' badge :laff: 2A-C, 4 speed manual, not much else...rockin!
  11. That is a good question... :hmm: Am I the dumbass because that's NOT a doorway?
  12. Got to work on the spare wheel tub, gave it a hit with a grinding disc then a coarse wire brush. The black circles indicate small holes that needed filling. I just threw a light under the car & a blanket over my head then circled the points of light  This process had to be repeated a few times, as I'd grind to clean up the last weld only to create/find a new hole :bash: Frustrating but worth the effort in the long term I guess, more metal than metalmend seems a better idea! Shown here getting a good hit of rust converter. After water wash, metho wash & dry rag (twice!). Underneath. Today all this is destined for a hit-up with a fine grade wire brush & a wash with wax/grease remover. Then some metalmend repairs to the worst of it, then sand that back & hit up with some normal filler. If all goes well I might even get some primer on it! *crosses fingers*
  13. ^^^^^ It looks like the bedroom curtains... Fuel cap fail...was at a shopping centre carpark, not a service station!
  14. Do not consume body filler....uh...derr! :P How the hell did you manage that? :laff:
  15. Was doing a google search for toy cars & stumbled across this: If you want to check the page I found this on, Clicky here!
  16. Thanks mate, I do what I gotta do  So how'd you go Parrot? Did you make it out into the shed? A little electric heater can make all the difference in a sheds comfort levels. Mind you I didnt need it as I was sweating like a mofo whilst welding :laff: Gonna start grinding up the welds to smooth things out a bit & to check for any defects. Gotta wait until after 9am (being nice to my mates missus & neighbours) to get going, I've been up since the wee hours acquiring some new bits for the project which I'm gonna keep under my hat until the time is right  Aussie dollar buying $1.09 US...I love this!!
  17. I feel your pain (slightly anyways), my doctor ordered me off spicy (he defines pepper as spicy) food, citrus fruits/juices, alcohol, coffee & pretty much anything else I find upsets my stomach. :( Even with tablets I still find myself driving the porcelain bus after what I just ate/drank decides not to stay down :no2: Then again, I do love my coffee & beer! Hope you recover soon & all the leaks are plugged!
  18. I love the 4AGE & hate carbies...I mean no offence to you :no2:
  19. Anything shown about/related to this in its service history? Then again it doesnt mention the odometer winding back so not sure of your luck there. :(
  20. Just taking the mickey...I know stuff all about BMW's & lost all interest completely after Chris Bangle got ahold of the reins. I would've thought the rear mains would be a fair bit of work to replace so the sump gasket being the problem seems a good thing...what are you thinking?. Maybe the original sump was damaged then replaced? :hmm: I don't know why people wind back odometers still...kinda pointless (especially if you're a dumbass & break things & hand over a service history that contradicts things) isnt it?
  21. :sob: :sob: :sob:
  22. Don't knock the Kiwis, their beer's awesome & they got WAAAYYYYY better cars than we did. You might wanna import one one day  I hear ya man, I'm of Irish descent so I cop a bit of flak. I don't mind the funny jokes, but when the old, not-funny ones come out I start making 'your mum" jokes. Gets the message across usually  WGMG: All this Royal Wedding shite being shoved in my face & ears. I care about the British Royal Fail-my about as much as I do the welfare of the 3.8L V6 in the bombodore doing burnouts up my street atm. The only thing I want to hear about this is that Prince Harry got hammered at the reception, bagged the shite out of everyone in his speech & slept with all 3 bridesmaids.
  23. Sex, drugs, rock & roll, Speed, weed, birth control, Life's a bitch & then you die, So f**k the world & let's get high! It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...wining's winning. (yes, TFATF...sad, but true!) Sounds good in theory, hell, communism works in theory...
  24. The way you have it written you travel 11.5kms for every 100 littres of fuel used, obviously a typo. I was joking :P
