  1. Man, you change your rims more often than I change my oil & spark plugs :lolcry: Found myself sitting here looking at some of them thinking "how the fork do you get those wide-ass wheels mounted let alone to fit inside the guards?" :blinks: Love your work! :y:
  2. Sounds like your mate decided to have a bit of a laugh at your expense...
  3. I suppose it's not anal if you don't know the history, assuming the worst & it not being the case is always a win! :) I meant no rush, I actually have to get out to one myself :laff:
  4. Nice pick up Ev! Will we see it at a meet sometime?
  5. I used to live in my big shed... Now I only has a little shed :( You'd definitely miss the kid :y:
  6. I feel your pain :( Am trying to find a scale model/toy/whatever of an AE82 corolla, in white & 4 doors. All I've come up with are 1984 FX-GT's in silver or red. Not a bad thing, just not what I'm after. If I come across any KE70's I'll let you know! :y: There has to be something out there somewhere!
  7. Oops... I'm glad someone read this thread correctly :lolcry: Hopefully the tyres you have on the car are the correct size for the car, therefore your speedo wont be out!
  8. They usually don't as we usually don't when they're sick. Of course, when they're sick we sure as hell know about it!
  9. *sniffle snort cough hack* AGREED!
  10. It is, fuel economy goes out the window & it gets annoyingly loud. If the exhaust note was nice it wouldnt be so bad, problem is aint! Maybe cannon muffler + 5 speed for the win! :P
  11. Glad to help jog the memory banks!
  12. I too have looked at the megasquirt...:blinks: As long as it comes with instructions I should be able to put it together...in a couple of weeks!! :lolcry: If you do try it let me know? Interesting :hmm:
  13. Aural & visual porn! :laff:
  14. I'd dare say so, the speedo more than likely showing a speed slower than what you are actually doing. This is assuming your car currently has the correct tyre size fitted.
  15. I just read the whole thread...3 cups of coffee later I'm sitting here amazed at your dedication & quality of work put in. Epic stuff!
  16. Matt, you need to read this: Clicky for brake upgrade enlightenment! Should help ya out a bit!
  17. Spotted a clean as, white AE82 Twin Cam hatchback with red P's heading along Sunshine Avenue from the Melton Highway to the Calder Freeway at about 2.30pm yesterday afternoon... Anyone from here? Car had standard wheels & looked really well looked after :y:
  18. Correct :y: All C-series gearboxes will bolt up to an A series block, however driveshafts vary in length between some models (as CaseyG said) so is worth grabbing a tape measure & checking. Failing that, grab the shafts & slap them in as well!
  19. Okay I stand corrected :y: they can fit under 14" rims but you need aftermarket with massive dish/offset or spacers, which are illegal for road use so I ignored that option. Sweet as mate! Hope the text message didnt annoy ya at work, I just get excited when I find something I'm after :laff:
  20. For that particular upgrade you need 15" wheels minimum.
  21. I'm interested to see how this goes, I have a 2AC with a 4 speed manual & have contemplated upgrading the box to a 5 speed as on the freeway doing 100km/h its revving @ ~4000rpm. In theory the C series boxes should all bolt up to the A series blocks...
  22. PM sent re: bits for sale
  23. Definitely! :y: Semi slicks on street, its all good, they have tread :laff:
  24. Sorry to hear about the lack of Rob Roy HillClimb mate :( Looked sweet as at the Cars, Coffee & Donuts meet when I saw her. :y: Any updates at all?
  25. Thanks man, just so long as you're not just blowin smoke up my ass :laff: I don't know too much about strength differences between oxy & MIG, if there are any provided they're both done correctly? :blinks: I've had a few guys who weld for a living tell me that I'd never get it to hold, I'd just blow holes, blah blah blah so I was friggin nervous as hell about doing it. I figured if all went to the pooper I'd just cut another piece to overlap & bronze-solder it. So to get it in like this, to me a is a big :rob: to all the people who said I'd have to use a MIG on it!! To me it was: oxy set + gas + consumables = ~$500, MIG set + gas + comsumables = lots more! Then again, I worked out how to spray paint by jumping in the deep end. :greenbounce: Always knew that I'd end up with buckling/distortion, had expected worse than what I've got which is nothing a hammer, a metal bar, a few nicely shaped blocks of wood & a light touch of filler wont fix! I didnt actually get anything done on Sunday, as domestic duties kept me busy & a close friend who recently lost his pride & joy (JZA80 + 1JZ VVTi) wanted to catch up ( :drinks: ) so I couldnt say no. Happy to see him alive & well!
