  3. The diff wont cause a backfire. Maybe check your plugs, could be fouled up. Change plugs = $10-20
  4. Looks ok i spose. $129 post  Have a look at phil's rotarys. I've heard good thigs about his stuff. More expensive than bangkok but would cheaper then rare spares.

Charl, that woule be Active Motor Wreckers. My wagon once resided there.
  8. Yea, it really tidys up the bay. even with how the bay is now (orig paint scuffed) you can tell it looks cleaner. hehe, Already done :jamie:. Not really, I'm going a little further with the hidden wiring. As in the only wires you'll see will be a couple on the engine but unless you look really close you can't tell where they connect to the body. Also all the brake lines are either getting wrapped in black loom tube or getting painted black to tie in with the bay.
  9. Todays progress: Havent done the drivers side, just waiting to do on small rust repair in the corner. Some wire extending over the weekend for the hidden wiring: Done the right way, New VGC overrated beaver panel. Thanks Chris (OH-Ke)
  10. I'm not talking shit about you, I'm not talking about what you were doing. Simply quoted for the Bloody Commodore's comment. Good day to you sir
  11. Way to go.....bro
  12. I've got 2 stockies you you have another 2. let me know and you can come pick em up
  13. Hey Jase, She's gonna look good, not like you or your dad lack the skills to get it lookin shmicko. Didnt really notice the lumpy cam when i saw it saturday. As for the parcel shelf: Its not brown?
  14. Probably only illegal due to all the backyard joes putting a hole here and there and hopin she spins alright. I'll be welding the original stud holes up (put some strength back into em) and running the centercaps ( for looks) so unless they pop the caps and look closely i shouldnt have a problem. only way to tell would be the discoloured/ affected chrome around where the welding of the original holes are.
  15. ^^ This sorta thing grinds my gears. YES, i may be a commodore. YES, this is a corolla forum. Its people like this bloke and his mate giving the ol commodores and falcons the reputations they have now. They can be great cars when they're not treated or modified like shit.
  16. I remember watching those episodes a while ago. amazing how wound up the locals got. GTF outta there and wash the paint off with coke. haha
  17. Lookin good mate. By the looks of the hole it seems someone has chopped it out to fix it or something and gone, "eh, f@$k it" and left it.
  18. If the wagon gets done in time (I'm really hoping so) then i might tag along. time off shouldnt be a problem.
  19. Cheers Si. I went down to a wheel and rim place and they didnt wanna touch em. so i'll drill one wheel and chuck a 114.3 axle in the lathe and see how concentricly it spins. there is a little play between the center bore on the wheel and the aligner <0.2mm which I'm not really too concerned about. Edit: If it is too far out concentricity(spl?), when i chamfer the stud hole i'll chamfer it a little more to enlarge the hole 0.1mm and make up some 60/80mm hubcentric rings to make sure it all spins as the god of spinny things intended it to.
  20. 2mm?!?!? Jebus. these things are only made out of 0.8mm - 1mm. Zinc annealed is apparantly the stuff cars are made out of. doesnt ripple as much as normal mild steel when pressed into shapes. I'll be using 0.8 or 1mm for when i blank out my rear side windows.
  21. What i meant was, If you wanna go fast all you have to do is drop back a bit. It was the other way around on the birthday cruise and all the slower cars had to catch up to them.
  22. Or just some FAT tyres. As i;ve saind in another thread, you can fit 215's under 30/55 guards with the right offset. 215's or 225's would be more than enough for what most people are putting down in corolla's
  23. Should be good to see how removing one leave and adding a half leaf affects it.
  24. coil possibly? is it just the engine that cuts out or everything in the car?
