The half leaf is secured to the pack with a the center bolt at one end and riveted to the top leaf (NOT pop rivets, industrial type ones) The leaves i had made for 13BT KE20 and Greenmac80 both had half leafs fitted.

The passenger side rear rust has been totally eliminated. All smoothed over and in primer. Drivers side is just waiting for me to go to work and cut a strip of steel for the boot seal and weld it in. The worst rust in the car (under side window) is all ready to be sanded back. All other rust in the car has been rust converted and will give it a go over with some zinc prime and weld in new metal for the bits that need it. Seats are out. as is the rear carpet. Will be looking for new carpet for this beast after its painted. Is the wagon carpet the same as the sedan? i don't really need to worry about boot carpet at this stage. Where has everybody else go for their carpet needs? Ebay? Knox? Cheers

Try getting a hold of a top end gasket kit (VRS?) Will have every gasket you need from the head gasket up. I was looking for a headgasket and manifold gasket for my ute and it was like $40. compared to a top end kit that had all the gaskets i needed for $44.50. so it will probably work out cheaper.

about the only way to force air down there is turbo or supercharging. hence the term "forced induction" :jamie: Then again, anything that helps the engine suck cooler air has got to be of some advantage. Rather than sucking hot air from under the bonnet thats already been thru a hot radiator. Something like an air dam from behind the beaver panel piping into an air box on the carb or something. just an idea.

sounds like the idle circuit on the carb is farked. Swap the carb over with another if you have one. :jamie:

Just got home from working on the ol girl. As Luc said, 90% ready for first prime. Just some rust repairs in each of the D pillars. Then cut out the inserts for the rear windows. most of the car where body work isnt needed its scuffed up all ready, just gotta get the thing out of the shed and give the bay a good degrease. Might get the trans out while I'm at it. Luc also brang round the paint for this beast. got a couple of pics, be up later.

Primer came in yesterday. Just have to take care of the rest of the rust repairs. got most of the rust in the boot lip sorted and almost fully welded in. Hoping to have the lot in primer within a month. and fully painted and minty fresh. Thinking of scrapping the 4KZ idea atm. Run a 4K then have some new age power to drop in, in the future. Still a little sketchy on weather it would be a good conversion. alot of work making a RWD bellhousing to fit. but we'll see.

Milk Crates or 20L drums work a treat. Remember to wear your seat belt tho. Safety first :jamie:

oh, Export cans **FACEPALM** Silver all over with black around the windows, down to the upper body line, across the bonnet and around the other side. Not going for the H3KTIK dori black bonnet look tho. will tie in with the rest of the car and be glossy :P

I wouldnt like to have to clutchless change whilst driving in traffic. having to get back out of neutral into gear would suck the ass

Little progress from last night. More pics from Luc to come. Rear Doors are almost smooth. Front Doors are already off, ready for the first prime. A bit more rust cut out. . Made up some spacers at work and am now able to run the chasers on the front. Just need to get some 185/60/15's.
