  3. Just got home from working on the ol girl. As Luc said, 90% ready for first prime. Just some rust repairs in each of the D pillars. Then cut out the inserts for the rear windows. most of the car where body work isnt needed its scuffed up all ready, just gotta get the thing out of the shed and give the bay a good degrease. Might get the trans out while I'm at it. Luc also brang round the paint for this beast. got a couple of pics, be up later.

  6. Primer came in yesterday. Just have to take care of the rest of the rust repairs. got most of the rust in the boot lip sorted and almost fully welded in. Hoping to have the lot in primer within a month. and fully painted and minty fresh. Thinking of scrapping the 4KZ idea atm. Run a 4K then have some new age power to drop in, in the future. Still a little sketchy on weather it would be a good conversion. alot of work making a RWD bellhousing to fit. but we'll see.
  7. Milk Crates or 20L drums work a treat. Remember to wear your seat belt tho. Safety first :jamie:
  8. Taking the head off for the 2nd time in a week makes baby Jesus cry.
  9. oh, Export cans **FACEPALM** Silver all over with black around the windows, down to the upper body line, across the bonnet and around the other side. Not going for the H3KTIK dori black bonnet look tho. will tie in with the rest of the car and be glossy :P
  10. ^^^ THIS activity, people.is alot of the reason why ALOT of nice cars don't go on cruises anymore. Only takes one person to ruin many peoples night.
  11. I wouldnt like to have to clutchless change whilst driving in traffic. having to get back out of neutral into gear would suck the ass
  12. Little progress from last night. More pics from Luc to come. Rear Doors are almost smooth. Front Doors are already off, ready for the first prime. A bit more rust cut out. . Made up some spacers at work and am now able to run the chasers on the front. Just need to get some 185/60/15's.

Had 2 people to lift the sucker out. and I managed to put it back on alone. f@$kin thing is still missing and worse than before. now it wont idle either. Cruisin round in an RN85 till i fix it. the ol 22RC still goes like shit off a shovel
  18. Sure you can. Get a little monkey with an oil can inside your engine to provide all needed lubrications
  19. Wow man, good on ya. Might have a reason to come to Perth a little more often
  20. the engine was only sitting there as i had to get out of the engine bay to get it from there to the ground. I will be getting the real number plates. but I'm not gonna worry bout that for a while. The vents are there. but the passenger side is the only one that actually does any venting. the part where the vent tube goes on the driver side is full of emmisions shit.
  21. It will be the same as the setup that was goign to be in my ke30. SC12 off one side. Sucking fuel thru an SU style stromberg carburettor. This one will be running a serpentine belt drive on the entire engine this tim tho.
  22. 2nd and 3rd ones look great in my opinion. Id be happy with them. but thats just my opinion.
  23. Hi guys I recently became the owner of this 81 KE38 wagon for a measely $400 Its got a factory 4K/4spd in it. It started off as a simple clean up and paint. And as with most projects i has snowballed enormously. As it stands the specs when it's done should be as follows. Engine: 4KZ (yes, it should finally get done) Fully rebuilt engine (fark sticking with a fully stock engine) Trans: KE70 4 or 5spd. Diff: Stock. Paint: Two Tone Silver and Black. Body Mods: Shaved passenger side lock. Shaved rear door handles. Shaved Rear side boot windows. Modified Tailgate handle assembely and possibly shaved lock. Interior: KE50 Tach dash, black retrimmed seats. fresh black carpet. silver (light grey) headlining and door skins. Here are some pics off my phone. there are more coming from Luc's phone to fill in all the gaps; Oh Hello Mr. Bog :P Good Bye Mr Bog , Hello Rust :P:( Started Sanding; Looky here, A weld. Interesting New Tailgate. Thanks for the tip off Mick  Dents, but still better than rust. Got Bored, So i took the engine out. No help, No crane either  Gearbox held up by 1x8mm bolt, a hose bracket and a Happy Happy Tie Down strap (again, thanks Mick :D ) Um yea, well heres why ya starter sounds f@$ked. Oh and a fubar'd spigot bearing. Thats it for now. more pics when i can get them off Luc.
  24. WGMG: Headgaskets. especially on an engine where the head weighs 3 metric tonnes.
  25. Indeed, but i was talking to him last week about the springs i supplied and he was talking about getting wider front tyres/wheels as the locker doesnt help with the understeer.
