well imagine that, with a enlarged hole for the 30/55 shifter position, then more enlargement for the 70 position

just have to widen the rear of hole in the floor. was an auto so it has an elongated hole in the floor. doing the same as when the previous owner did when he put the 4spd in.

i will prolly have an esky in the car too. Gonna dump the all the tyres and tools and spare parts out of the boot and with the full esky the car should weigh the same :yes:

Fortnightly would be good for me. Even if you do it weekly but alternate between wednesday and thursday, some people like me may have early starts and i can imagine these nights ending close to (quote doug, "pumpkin hour").

10 bolts :P if its warped, ive been told to torque it down as per usual, heat it up by running the car (idle) then torque it down again,

No worries mate. Just a tip, run the head bolt down into the threads into the block to make sure its not stiff, it could cause inaccurate torquing. also a drop of oil on the threads and under the head of the bolt will give you more accurate torquing :P

I just did my new head gasket for the first time on the new 4k. nothing much to look out for. just make sure you clean the head up (if any of the old gasket sticks to the head or the block) and don't rest the head on its mating surface :P . what brand head gasket are ya using? and yes, it does run pushrods.
