No it it is not my life, ill admit that part, it is a bit hypocrytical, call it even. Those are some good words for Lexxi. And i think it is better that it is coming from someone who has been there. Call it even, ive had a bad day :bash: and ive said my little peice for my friend. But i will thank you for your words though, i know of a few people who need to hear them. Travis.

My views used to get opposed everywhere on my black car :bash: Some days it was fun, others not so much :y: But at least when people looked at my car and put their views on it they new exactly what they were looking at, thats the point i was trying to get across. Travis

Well when you think about you don't REALLY have any idea, that wasnt your life it was your wifes. And after hearing all that about your wifes life, don't you have sympathy for others who could be in that position or worse, who were you to know Lexxi wasnt in that position or worse. And maybe she just CBF'd telling YOU all the crap that goes on her life, maybe instead of replying and proving her point to some random on an internet forum, she is studying at school so that she can do well, and she is, ive seen her results and she is doing really well. f@$k yea girl, darn right, don't have a go at people about things you have no idea about. Its all good Alex, SCHOOL = OVER SOON :bash: Travis.

Yea man looks sweet as :bash: Hahahah Alex! Pretty sure it should be a airbrush picture of me drifting my ae71 :y: Travis

Yea i look back on school life and it was shit, working is way less stressful, But school had its upseides like OrangeLJ said: mucking around, and after mucking around you fail... so to kids that actually try its even harder (like Lexxi). School wasnt easy for me, and i came between first and middle in all my classes, and i didnt try one little bit, but the stuff came easy to me, but i picked subjects i could relate to what ive been brought up with, ie engineering, and metal work, physics, and maths advanced. Keep up with it Lexxi, its year 12 your almost there!! soo close! Travis. EDIT: o and what grinds my gears: angle grinders with wire brush attachments, one just nearly ripped my stomach open when it kicked back on me at work, only scratched me luckily, i pulled the plug out of the socket in time, luckily.

Mmm theres a video of this happening on youtube, My TODA wheel should be right as its made light and designed, personally i wouldnt lighten my flywheel, id buy an aftermarket one, so that risk is eliminated/reduced at least. Travis.

Thanks man, much appreciated, 5 hours, lots of gas, lots of filler wire and patience, and material. I think it all payed off in the end. Cheers Travis

Depends on cams, with big cams you take the tvis out even on stock manifold, with stock cams leave tvis in. Its really trial and error, to see what you prefer. I'm stripping out my tvis plate and using it as part of the adapter plate for the itb's Travis

And the no power.... Its an engine designed to rev to infiniti but its also designed for a vehicle about what 1/10th its weight? Where would the gearbox go, how would you do any of it, its exceedingly impractical and if you were to spend the however much amount of money you could the power would probably be less than a 4k... My opinion anyway, and I'm sure others will agree. Travis

OK Did this today for Mr AE71 AKA Justin. "cut and shut bigport manifold" Now I did not "cut" the manifold I instead plated it, I find this a much nicer way than welding shitty 26yr oldish cast aluminium to more shitty 26yr old cut off cast aluminium, It makes for a much better weld and less distortion/crap. Designed for the normal bigport throttle. Anyway pics: What i started off with, one rwd manifold and one fwd manifold: And what I ended up with, two rwd manifolds: Opinions? Cheers Travis

Thats an excellent diagram and makes everything easier to understand for people. And yep how i pictured it is meant to be installed. Travis

Thats what i thought too /\ /\ /\ /\ Looks good though man, what type of fender mirrors are those? Travis

I understand the logic of it, as i did physics in school. To sum up what KENut was saying (I think). If you want to lighten the flywheel and still retain your original torque, by however much you lighten it you have to figure out how much bigger your flywheel has to be in terms of radius. So... With my TODA racing flywheel of 3.9kg @ 200mm diatmeter, versus stock flywheel of 7kg @ 200mm diameter (this is on a 4age). I will lose a shitload of torque, but if i got a lightweight flywheel of the 212mm (this size can fit in a T-50) i would approximately (because i CBF working it out) get the torque of say a 5ish kg flywheel if it was 3.9kg @ 212mm versus 7kg @ 200mm. But since it is lighter the engine can spin easier and put more power out and possibly more torque? I dunno, ill put it on the dyno and see when its done :rolla: Travis

On a beams you would need a minimum of blacktop throttles, most likely aftermarket and bigger. Beams have dual vvti, you could make an engine like Beau Yates Beams, from memory, 2.2litre, turbo, combination of a 3sgte? and a Beams, I'm not too sure on sppecs but damn it goes hard!! But money is a problem, pity a 2jz wont fit because it would mostlikely need firewall mods, how big is a 1UZFE? if it could be engineered in that would be cool too Travis
-
SR sounds good, cheap easy bolt on upgrades etc. Even CA would be good enough. But a worked Beams would be ultra nice. Ive always loved the idea of a really worked NA 2jz I saw one in a HPI magazine a little while ago, it was really nice, they put 6 throttle bodies off a 20v on it. And a custom plenum, big cams, high comp, made some really good power too :rolla: Travis

That could work If i charged 50 dollars a glass :rolla:

Didnt get time to weld on the pipes to the tvis..... Things came up. But the car is going in to get all rust removed around the 15th of june :rolla: I can't wait, ill have a completely rust free shell. Then ill start engine and suspension and bodywork all at once i think, I'm really really REALLY hoping this will be done by October.... But i need to get some form of cash flow apart from my apprenticeship, selling these parts is working, but I'm almost out of parts..... I'm hoping i can make and sell these pedal boxes, and build a business from there. Doing modifications like the pedal box one. Apart from importing parts and selling them its all i can think of... Any ideas people have for me? I dunno just to help a guy out you know. Cheers. Travis.

I hate cast aluminium welding...

Yea i know, stuffs up so much, blows heaps of holes, yea I'm about to weld pipe to my tvis plate need to get that part I made yesterday machined flat. That will happen on monday. Then welding it to the other end of the pipes on wednesday. Hopefully. Then more peices of the jigsaw will be together hahah. FUN! Travis

Id get cams injectors and ecu all at same time, will be shit with putting in cams and injectors with no aftermarket ecu Travis
-
It just fits in the boot :rolla: can't wait for build, is the engine stock? Travis
-
Guessing no... Your gonna need to take dizzy out put it to TDC and fit the dizzy correctly, someone will explain how, i can't be bothered Get a workshop manual Travis
