  1. I hope when you used it you did it in the shade on cold panels and not luke-warm panels because that affects the finish.
  2. Random Orbital buffs leave swirl marks. If you're going to use a machine, get a proper buff with the correct buffing pad. :P Only if you have a spare $250 though ;)
  3. Looking forward to seeing this ;)
  4. So I'll also make the second post. ;) I'll post some photo evidence of how well the Kitten Cream Cut & Polish No. 2 works. I swear by this stuff and you'll see why in the following pic.
  5. So here is where we discuss detailing products we use and how effective they are. Photo evidence with before and after shots WILL be required. I'll create a list in this first post to give people a guide on what is best to use for their car. Kitten Cream Cut & Polish No. 2 Kitten Liquid Cut & Polish Cheers Raven
  6. The cruise/drive-in was a success. I think it was 9 cars at the meet point for the start with 7 cars continuing on the cruise and with 9 cars again I think for the drive-in. Some people left after the first movie which left 5 cars to watch movie number two. Thanks to those who came along. It's Valandor's turn to organise the next one, so we'll see what he comes up with. Any constructive criticism about how the cruise/drive-in meet went will be much appreciated. Cheers Raven
  7. Gettting better. :P Just need to paint up those rims as well ;)
  8. Blue smoke is burning oil usually. Black smoke is excessive fuel. So I'd say the oil rings are getting worn.
  9. As Robert said, check your PMs as everyone who was on the attendance list in the first post had a PM sent out regarding the meet spot. This was to stop unwanted randoms from showing up and crashing the cruise. People will also be required to sign-in so I know who has shown up. We WILL be leaving 6pm on the dot so If you're not at the meet point before 6pm, you wont get the cruise sheet and therefore you will not know where we are headed. Cheers Raven
  10. Carburettors rely on heat to vaporize the fuel, so a Pod filter will be no real benefit. Even though the previous owner of my car has one made up for the carb lol.
  11. Update! Its running! The dizzy somehow had managed to be put in 180 degrees after numerous times of resetting it to be pointing at TDC. Anyway, got it all running, took it for a drive and it drives fine but the 5 speed needs a rebuild which I'll do over time or I'll get a KE70 5 speed and swap rear extension housings over. ;)
  12. And.......... Mystik is out of this one. 14 cars, still not a bad turn out. I bet only 5 will show though ;)

  14. Hehe. Pics will be had. ;)
  15. Hence the distributor issue which I think I have, because I pulled the dizzy out to try it in **chumps** car and it then wouldnt fire and I put it back in the pano and it hasnt run since but was working previous to me pulling it out. Will try my other dizzy on the weekend when I go pick it up.
  16. Its getting bothhhhhhhhhh. Took the spark plug out and earthed it and had someone turn the motor over. It sparked. Checked for fuel and its gettin' fuel too. The one thing I found and replaced was a broken rotor button, yet it still wont start and pops big flames back through the carby. Hmmm.... I'm thinkin' next thing to do would be the dizzy cap and thats looking pretty worn, thogh I'm gonna try my NIppon-Denso dizzy this Saturday as I know that's been reconditioned at some point.
  17. OK update. Been trying to get it running to no avail. I've reset the timing, realigned the dizzy, re-aligned the oil pump, replcaed the dizzy cap, cleaned the spark plugs and it tries to fire but just wont fire. Anyone have any ideas? Its getting fuel and its getting spark.
  18. Remove the distributor, manually turn the motor over till the crank pulley is sitting on TDC and piston number one is at top dead centre. Stick a screwdriver in the oil pickup where the dizzy goes and turn the oil pump pick-up so when you put the dizzy in, the rotor button is facing piston one. Turn the motor so the crank pulley mark is sitting at 8 degrees BTDC. Now, move the dizzy so the mark on the dizzy body is in line with the line on the rotor button. Move it just past this point so its just about to open up. Thats static timing the motor. Lock the dizzy in place. Put your dizzy cap on, make sure the plugs are in the correct order of 1-3-4-2, going clockwise when look at the dizzy from the front of the car. Charge up your battery too. Let us know how you go. :P
  19. Aussie hip-hop shits me. Long live the metal. I think Clown is gonna have to get his arse to a gig when my band starts playing shows in 4-5 months time :hmm: I'll introduce you to the Adelaide Metal Scene. :P
  20. Sure is. :hmm: Something a bit different hey? :P
  21. http://www.google.com.au is your friend. Its been covered before.
  22. I was shit stirring :P Hope you can make it to the drive-in though. Raven
  23. I'm pretty sure Gawler Industrial springs in the industrial park just outside of Gawler also do them. The guy that I've been told about works from home is named Robert Fish. Lives up in Para Hills somewhere.
