Looks good, i am in the process of chucking together a turbo 4k for my daily, i have a turbo off a 12a and 1 3/4" SU, was going to J pipe a KE70 manifold but might just cut up some extractors and make a better flowing manifold. Is your car difficult to start when cold? the fuel has a long way to travel there, if so how do you get around it? Cheers Scott
-
Yep thats been the goal for my car, very very little is obvious at first glance, driving along its pretty quiet, it stays quiet up to the point when the external wastegate opens :jamie: hey could you post me link to some pics of your sc install? Cheers Scott
-
Ah yes, rice hunting, its atleast an every second thursday night ritual for me , i usually just follow a bunch of em, wait to see who is dominating there little boy racer session then annihilate him in front of his crew lol :jamie: ah i love my KE20 :paw:
-
I've been a bad boy mmmmmmkay :)

Yep stressful it is, i only really drive my ke20 to and from various events, for awhile i had a mates mazda 1000 on the build, had a 1uzfe sitting between the rails, checked with transport and found yes it was legal in qld, not as potent in NA form as a 13bt but still lots of motor for a tiny car.
-
Brakes are for wusses lol, you'd be suprised how quick it stops with the skyline rear disks, just don't ask it to do it to many times in a row :D
-
My 13bt conversion in my ke10 has been put on the back burner for 6 months, i am looking for a good runner 4k/5k with a ke30 4 or 5 speed, i could just go buy a ke70 or something for a few hundred but don't really want to have another shell lying around. Has anyone got anything they want to sell? preferably standard compression as i will be running a 12a turbo and su draw through setup on it. Was driving back from springwood before and found myself sitting at the traffic light with 2 other ke10's, one of the guys pulled me over and we had a chat, turns out he has a good diff and a few other parts i need. :D scored! Cheers Scott

Ah cool mate no worries, that would have been UFO69 dark purplish coloured r100, where you the guy asking about CA18's into ke10s?
-
lol :jamie: who is this? man i must have drank some bourbon as i can't remember anyone i didn't know being in my car ;) Felix, got some 12a bits, no housings, complete motor otherwise, also got some nice 12a extend port plates, did you want a runner or one you can build up?
-
Cool thanks for the info, will get the diff out and hold my slicks under, i think it will definately require a slight mini tub but i am hoping i might be able to keep the leaf spring mount points in place and shim the springs accross like i did on the 20, still i think 205x14's or 225x14s on the rear and 155s on the front in white walls will look trick on such a small car. Will get this POS commodore going then get onto it.

This guy also has a 20 from same forum http://abusive.boostcruising.com/ different

Ha ha love it, an efi pump is probably not the most ideal pump though, i would have set it up as draw through and used an SU, much less hassles trying to raise fuel pressure to counter act boost pressure also you can't expect a carby designed to work with vacum to behave properly with pressure, absolute nightmare once you start leaning on it i would think, fuel leaking from shaft seals, floats collapsing yadda yadda then there is the poor vl pump trying to keep up fuel demands running 1/3 of its ideal fuel pressure. Still thumbs up to the guy, go the frankenstein engine :jamie:

Alex provided me with a few spare axles for the trip back from adelaide so still got them, what i do need at the moment is another centre as the one in the grey 10 is sounding like a train coming into the station ;) yep already got the uni sorted just deciding to pull the centre out over having a bourbon of an afternoon is not likely :jamie: Mini tubbing is something i have wanted to have a go at for awhile so might do it, once the turbo 202 is back together in the vh its daily driving duties will no longer be required an i will make a start. I reckon it would look pretty tough with 235's on the back lol , only hassle i can see is having to put a fuel cell in the boot. Do you know what size tyre angela? (jetKE) has under the back of her 10 (the ones she uses at the track) ?
-
Only got about 30 mins on the track because of the rain but was still fun none the less. Its sitting on stands at the moment with a broken axle and front uni ;) 4k power was to much for it lol got plans for my other noble daily ke10 at the moment parts i have so far include Spare Mild port 13BT My old highflow turbo and manifolds Microtec LT8 VL pumps x 2 Using my old manual gearbox combo from the 20 Adjustable coil suspension from an mx5 that i am cutting up to make lower front struts with adjustable camber (he he i'm going drifting lol maybe) Stuff i am still looking for r31 skyline diff assembly 4 injectors to suit Once i have all the bits will chuck all the shit in, will be fun as it should make similar power to what the 20 had when it ran 10.60's :jamie: Does anyone know how bigger tyre will fit under the rear of a ke10 standard? i want to be able to fit my 24.5x8x14 slicks back there so might have to mini tub it or something have not had time to measure as yet. Cheers Scott

:harhar: that sucker can flow 1000hp worth of air, unfortunatley lag is the trade off but never fear i have water injection, cdi and gas to solve it ;) this engine should be good for my gearbox limit of 480 rearwheel on pump fuel when all my gear turns up and i get it on the dyno, fingers crossed :) not sure what it would be capable of on c16 but sounds fun to me  Was probably making about 300 rearwheel at power cruise.

Oh and CKE20 is my mate nigels car, he is starting his own metal fab business, he is responsible for my new radiator, intercooler mods for 3" piping, stainless ic pipes, electric water pump adapter, highly skilled and top bloke. His KE20 is one i mentioned a while back on here i did the loom in it, it only has a stock ke20 diff in it and likes to break axles as quick as you can push the accelerator :harhar: the wheels on it are ROH gamblers love em. Just had a photo shoot done for hot 4s in this car, photo shoot was at yatala i had my ke10 out there and rabbite wanted to get some snaps to show unique cars, anyway everyone was doing donuts as we were leaving so i thought i'd just do a little static ;) doh, broke an axle and the resulting shock on the tailshaft snapped the front uni in half  was a cool site on the way home though, KE20 towing a KE10 and the nutter was fishtailing in 2nd whilst towing me :)

Hey all haven't been on here for awhile been pretty busy, yeah had fun at powercruise, had new setup in the car, only running 11psi on a rough street tune, had a few issues with lag and ic pipes blowing off but still held my own against the v8s :harhar: here is a few pics of the new setup and a incar ride along vid from powercruise http://www.ormiston.qld.edu.au/powercruise.wmv
-
now to piss off the baby turbo and get a man size one :jamie:
-
Yep that will be next, got to sort cage and a few other tech things while still keeping it stock looking
-
Hey guys thought you might want to see a vid of my KE20 into the 10's finally, posted it on ausrotary but for those who don't go there. http://www.ormiston.qld.edu.au/finally.wmv Cheers Scott
-
Now if he put that much effort into an efi turbo setup he would have lots more power and the ability to close his bonnet :D
-
Actually 2 of the ratio changes are almost identical, i found you could get 7 distinguishable gear changes :D i had a colt box in my cordia turbo, 7 gear changes with blow off valve sounded classic, and when you really wanted to impress, rip up the road in reverse and change from low reverse to hi reverse with blow off valve noise :D (man i did some stupid shit when i was younger)
-
I just happen to have an rx5 bellhousing with adapter plate for toyota 4/5 speeds, corona 4 speed, celica 5 speed etc, i have both boxes aswell as a lightened flywheel and 50k old button clutch with stupidly heavy pressure plate. If any one embarks on a rotary conversion i will do you a deal on the lot. can even include a crossmember to suit a KE20.

Nah man the rolla has plenty of room, i'm talking about a Datsun 1200 ute

Its a bastard of a car for me to drive, i am 6' 5" and don't fit that well into it, also the shifter sits back a fair way and my elbow smacks the back of the cab shifting 2nd and 4th, i have lunched 2 gearboxes now by selecting reverse instead of 4th as when my elbow hits my wrist follows through and pulls the lever towards me and into reverse. I put on a show when i left my wedding in it, the bloody penguin suit allowed stuff all movement and the slippery fag shoes made driving nearly impossible, i got way too sideways and almost jumped the centre island in 3rd, i shit myself that day, i had a drink to that one at my reception :)
