As I told you the other night, turn everything on, then get the reading, and if it drops anything below 13.5, then your alt isn't doing it's job. With everything on or not, it must read between 13.5 and 14.5 to be considered "ok" anything outside that is not ok.

You are comparing a dirty old pushrod engine against new twin cam engines with boost. Compare a K engine against something similar, like your general standard datto/sigma engine or something, and they stand up pretty well.

I drove my Supercharged 4K about 100 clicks with a blown head gasket that was so bad, that when I roll started it, it spewed the entire contents of the radiator out the exhaust in one huge glug...I then flogged the ass off it all the way to my mates house (due to being pissed off) I even raced him from the lights haha.....then we cleaned the head with a wire brush, threw it back on and away I went. The things I have done to these poor little K engines, and they just keep comin back for more, is why I will always have a soft spot for the mighty K!! ROCK ON K ENGINES!!!! :)

With enough skill and practice you can drift quite well with a standard 4AC and an open wheel diff (Good suspension helps) I've seen some ok drifting done with that setup. He has since gotten a LSD and a GZE, so obviously it works a little better now :) So if you practice enough a 4K should be enough until you get really good and need more power

Just buy a 4K and throw it in. 4K's RRP is $40

Rolled the front guards a bit, and used spacers. The tyres are 215/40's and they don't scrub at all :) I was selling them but no one seems interested, so I guess I will just keep them
