  1. How's everyone doing? A bit rattled by the cruise I take it :D Diff isn't falling apart yet, Sloth? I did them up as tight as I could! Hope all is going well NVE00S. Couldn't believe you'd take your car up the mineshaft. Good thing you didn't start rolling back down, though.
  2. Well said Hiro. 7A-GE.
  3. Ajajajajj oh god.. too much ahahaha.. It's a 3 man job to use my welder.... Enough said.
  4. Got the diff finished today everyone! Happy as a pig in shit now that I can roll without hearing anything but the tyres rolling. Didn't get to finish it early enough cause of the rain, Chester, so I'll try pick gearbox up next couple of days sometime after work.
  5. Love the progress rate good sir! I like your photochop with the exhaust hanging out :D . You going to go through with the tinted lights? Makes it look quite a bit sexier if you do :bash: Tell me about it! Long weekend ruined a lot for me too. Don't ask :D
  6. Good times guys! Had a blast removing that gearbox and the other gear :P Remember to contact Chester about parts and payment!
  7. KE70 is different to all other K-series engine mounts. I'd probably say the same for the Van's which had K engine's in them, but I've never been in the engine bay of one of them. The KE70 mounts are about 30-50mm longer on each side, so I'm assuming they're only on the subject of CA > KE70 here. Engine mounts aren't expensive to make up when put into the bill of a whole engine conversion. I'd say gearbox crossmember AND mounts no more than $500 on top of a $4000+ engine conversion if made at a shop. Back on topic to subject; If you're looking to do an engine conversion, you're not going to find your answers sitting on a computer chair and typing into a keyboard without pissing people off. You'll only get a biased view from everyone and turn it into a big argument about Nissan versus Toyota. Find out what sort of power each engine has been making --> Look at the sorts of mods that have been done to each engine to achieve that power --> have a stab at what each of these mods cost on TOP of conversion guesstimate --> twiddle your fingers --> conclude.
  8. If she ain't budgin', try and get a set of impact sockets to get em undone. Keep soaking it with WD40 every few hours if you can. Don't force it or you'll round the heads.
  9. I broke my diff last night.. It's almost fixed! You should see the centre :P
  10. Great to hear guys! Going to be a fun day. Matt's coming and is bringing his purple KE36 (the one I used to own). Might have a few other friends coming too. See you all there everyone, safe driving. :P
  11. Welcome Fasimba :( If you're a keen bean, come to the cruise tomorrow! I blew my diff last night everybody :P Going around to Chester's to get the replacement today. Should get it fixed by tomorrow - touch wood.
  12. Unlimited! That's heaps cool man. Kind of jealous right now  Still coming to cruise!? Couldn't reply to your messages... My phone broke and couldn't get any numbers back out of the darn thing >| PM me! Hope you get this on the road soon! Will be awesome for you to be able to drive one of the KE36's.
  13. Rear wheels spin. front wheels turn. What do you want to do? :blinks:
  14. Sedan or coupe? Not really worth a heap unless full factory standard and clean. Coupe add $500-$1000 if good. This is RollaClub anyway - Not DR30 Drivers.
  15. Well we may do it that way. Some of us are only after one or two small bits and some might take half the car! I think we'll have a good discussion about it on the cruise day. What would you prefer? Ezy scrap will give you $50 for what's left if we don't take it all. I'll send you a PM.
  16. Hrmm.. Just got me thinking. Does each part have their own keyway? It shouldn't be ABLE to be put out if they do. Pretty silly if they don't have a keyway too. Anyway good luck. Should give it some "oomf" bits if you rebuild it :blinks:
  17. Two birds with one stone :blinks:
  18. I think the GTi or other flash versions of this range of Corolla's (AE92, AE94 or something) came with a better standard brake set. Ask your local suspension shop what they can do for you.
  19. A side question: do they make Nolathane (or other horse-power increasing products) for this application?
  20. Must be a heartwarming feeling to be able to say "I did this to this... and now it looks like this!!!!". Good luck with the V6! EDIT: I just realised (from quite some time ago) that you didn't sell them B45's! I'd keep them too *hint hint*. :blinks: Although the fronts look less-dishy?
  21. Who'da thunk the car would have come so far when it was so close to being wrecked. Congratulations! Looks fantastic compared to what it was when you started.
  22. Awesome work mate. Good to see you'll keep trying to stay enthused when you're back at Uni. Stunning job :hmm:
  23. One week to go everyone! Who's ready? :hmm:
