Going to need a minimum of 5 for odd colours. Otherwise I'll end up stuck with 4 stickers Ive paid for but can't get rid of.

Theres a difference between the early model corolla flywheels and the lates. Its just to do with how the pressure plate bolts to it. Just get a KE70 flywheel and you'll be right.
-
Manual to manual is very simple. Theres little difference between the K manual gearboxes. The only major thing that changes is the shifter position.
-
I'm pretty sure its possible but I dread to think of the cost. If you're genuinely interested I can find out.
-
At this stage it will only be the www.rollaclub.com stickers. Keep the requests coming. Will hopefully have a batch ordered in the next couple of days.

I'm just glad the football seasons are over!

After the last saga with DIY stickers I'd like to keep production controlled. I will talk to Teddy about this later. So no for the moment, just wait to hear from one of us.

All finished. I suspect theres up to 1000 actual images missing (not including thumbnails), never to be recovered. Its unfortunate but unavoidable. Most of these will be posted by users with an UID between 1090 and 1746. This ONLY includes images posted BEFORE 18th of December 2006.

Ahh so you're talking about MacPherson strut not IRS (independant REAR suspension). Yes it does make a difference in the front. Its not massive and its not entirely necessary. I go to the track frequently (thats about all I do with the Silvia these days) and I haven't bothered with one yet.

What colours do people want?? Will be ordering in the next day or two so get in requests fast. I'm thinking something along the lines of: Black White Blue Yellow Pink ?? Red ?? Let me know what colour you're after so I can account for demand.

Bugger it Xany I'll buy one of those for the trip. I'm still a bit worried about what you wanna use it for but :). If they're only $100 it doesn't really bother me too much if it breaks after 50hrs (600hrs would be awesome) or I don't use it much. Most of the GMC stuff Ive ever bought has exceeded expectations. Sure it doesn't last forever but you can't beat them for the price!

chromies too..... such crimes are unforgivable! Get a nice set of 15s (NOT any of the local CRAP they sell in the tyre chain stores), they will suit the car much better, will save you money on tyres and it will probably handle better as well.

What If We Could Race Our 4age Xe7x

Thats the spirit!! hehehe. You will have a blast! -
All the S series chassis (and all the other Nissan IRS cars for that matter...they all have the same basic cradle design) have a massive IRS cradle. The strut towers merely support the vertical load of the shocks and springs, there is no lateral load on or near the strut towers. A strut brace in the rear of any S13/14/15 is a waste of time and money. Why are they available? They're cheap and easy to make and morons still buy them so theres money to be made. Any "gain" is merely a placebo effect.

Other than Ravens kind offer we're out of stock. Id better get off my arse and sort something out soon....so many people chasing them! Unfortunately we wont be able to offer them for free anymore, but I promise to make it as cheap as we possibly can afford.

About 600Mb uploaded, 1.1Gb to go. Might be finished by tomorrow morning.

Having done this conversion myself I can give you some comprehensive answers. You need the whole pedal box (brake and clutch pedal come together). You'll have to pretty much take the whole dash out for this. Starter motors are the same auto to manual. You will need a spigot bearing, the autos don't have one. Grab a manual engine sub-loom, this will have all the connectors for your reverse lights and neutral switch. You don't absolutely need it but if you don't get it just remember to loop the neutral switch which is on the shifter for the autos or you wont be able to start the car. You will also have to cut the shifter hole back a bit. You need a clutch cable, fork connector (don't miss this part!!) and the adjuster which is spot welded to the firewall. You need to drill the hole for the clutch cable and then you will have to attach the adjuster cup to the firewall somehow. You will need a manual gearbox cross member and gearbox mount. I think you also need all the manual bellhousing bolts (from memory the auto ones are different...but they may not be....). Other than that you've got it pretty much covered. I'll do an FAQ article for this eventually.

What If We Could Race Our 4age Xe7x
irokin replied to LittleRedSpirit's topic in Automotive Discussion
Usually 1 per month for 2 months then a one month break. Usually have a bit of a break over the christmas/new year too. The November track day is pretty much exactly two months away today. Sif you can't change your manifold before then :) (no more stainless steelies!). I think Ive got more problems than you have. My ECUs at the manufacturer hopefully being repaired under warranty. My new suspension is god knows where. My new seats been returned to sender once and then lost in transit so I'm still waiting for a replacement. I need new front brake rotors and still have to put the 5 stud hubs on the rear! I'll still be there but! -

I think you're going to find it very expensive and difficult to hire the track for a handful of cars. I can organise your own group if some people are interested in attending the November 27th Time Attack day (its a Tuesday...they're usually either Tuesday or Thursday). You can expect about 40 hot laps total on two layouts for a half day outing. Afternoons are best in my experience. By the end of the day everyones tired and usually heads home early. At the last day there was about 40 minutes of completely open track time left...but no one who wanted to use it (I would have...if not for my ECU fking up and dump pipe falling off). Trust me by the end of the half day you'll be exhausted. Cost is $130 (plus $55 AASA license) for the half day and we would need about 10 people to create our own group. I can confirm two if you don't mind running with myself in the Silvia and my mates GTR. If you get 10 4A-GE people interested we're quite happy to bump back to our normal group. You will need to pay a $30 deposit on booking (non-refundable) and full payment 2 weeks before the event. Full payment is non-refundable 1 week prior to the event. At the moment I would put the series/class/whatever on hold and just get out there and race. You will find driving suddenly becomes foreign at the first track day. Forgetting to change gears (usually down but sometimes up....!) is not uncommon and some people have even forgotten to breathe!! (resulting in a spectacular 200km/h off track excursion into the gravel). Its like learning to drive all over again. I found it takes another day or so to get used to the new environment. Forget semi slicks for now, you will learn far more about your cars good and bad behavior on street tyres. Sticky tyres mask the cars bad behavior and when they bite they bite HARD! (More off track excursions, usually sideways/backwards). Street tyres let go at lower speeds and usually results in less severe offs. If you're interested in attending let me know and I will tee it up with the event organiser. -
I can tell you it is most certainly 2.5 liters.

So far Ive found about 6000 images (including the associated thumbnails) that have been missed and I think theres probably about that many again still to be found. I suspect there will possibly be a few thousand that are gone for good. Edit 26/9/07 4:50pm: Up to 8000 images now. Edit 26/9/07 6:00pm: Now at 10,000 images. Edit 26/9/07 6:37pm: 12,000 images. Probably another 1-2000 to go. Edit 26/9/07 7:30pm: Finished! 12,032 images Total Its probably going to take about a week to upload all this...! 1.63gb

t3/t4s are very old technology and stainless is a terrible material to make manifolds out of. Get a turbo from the newer Garrett GT lineup and a steam pipe manifold.
-
OK I know whats going on. Because the old version of invision puts all the images in one folder the server seems to have timed out and only given a partial list of files. All images since 18/12/06 should be viewable but theres many thousands potentially missing posted before that date. I will check my secondary backup and see if it grabbed any more than my primary. Don't hold your breath but...
-
They're not lost, just some were missed in uploading to the new server because of the sheer number of images. I will get it all sorted out eventually, just too many things on my plate at the moment. Edit: Actually theres something else going on there. Its on my list.
