  1. That would have been not long after I got the car rego'd aye? Does it pull up much better now?
  2. I'm sure they work man you may have to elongate a hole or two but I've seen them work in keto's before
  3. No licence counts me out ATM

    Spotted Qld

Spotted OKE030 out at Willowbank tonight st T.N.T
  7. I agree its all personal preference, but in the eyes of a copper a lowered falcon will go past them without raising an eyebrow asmuch as lowered keto would :D that's why I own a falcon. Don't get me wrong I love ke70's but the ones I have owned always bring to much hassle with the law compared to the falcons I have owned, I even had an argument with someone on here in my cars build thread, falcon VS ke70 and we both brought valid points but at the end of the day, you need to spend more in a ke70 to get it to do what a falcon will for half that amount.... That's my logic, spend 5k on a 4age conversion alone then you need to up the brakes and up the suspension to follow, so say if you do it right the 1st time say 10k max for a well setup ke70(brakes,suspension, 4age blah blah blah) right...... Well 3k buys you a full turbo kit for a falcon you just need to make the exhaust, then slotted rotors are like $300 off egay, zorst anywhere upto $700, swaybars are like $250 each, decent springs and shocks $500 max, manual conversion if not already manual $500 still coming in a heap faster and cheaper already and will do it better IMHO.... but that's me what can ya do. People will argue and carry on defending ke's saying its not that expensive blah blah blah, either way 10k should have you a well setup car :P hahahaha OT - original poster how's the car coming along
  8. Took it out the pig out to willowbank and the best time of the night was a 16.09 here's a pic of when I washed it before we took it out. One from after all the fun was finished with 2nd gear skids <3 http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid1115.photobucket.com/albums/k549/SLW42/VIDEO0018.mp4
  9. Wtf bro, time to move house lol :P
  10. 20 odd kilos give or take 5
  11. I have thrown keto's around before and now have a manual ef falcon and would much prefer to hang the falcons tail out rather than a ke70, I guess you could say I've grown up and a falcon IMHO is a big ke70 :P hahaha And you can get just as good handling out of a falcon as you can from a keto(maybe not as much lock for sideways movement) but still a set of lowered springs and swaybars, wider wheels will be a massive improvement over a standard setup, and still have a heap more poke than a 70 hahaha I just hang around to help people out with my knowledge from what I have learnt playing with corollas
  12. Fixed..... I'm just a little biased(own a falcon) hahaha, not many falcons out have unit stickers if they do the owner is/was a Commodore driver and wants to carry that tradition on :P hahaha
  13. i would've thought unit stickers and pluggas would go well with a keto too haha, or is that just commondoors
  14. Stick with either a 4age or pissed off 5k, if I was going to build a 'budget' drifter I think I'd go a pissed off 5k, then there isn't really ASMUCH need to go better brakes, maybe decent pads and slotted rotors but that's it, weld the diff and go have some fun 4age's are cheap you can pick them up for $0 - $400 depending on how long you look around, then gotta get a loom and mod that to suit, 4a rwd crossmembers and gearbox/tailshaft, cut and shut the fwd inlet manifold, gotta upgrade the fuel system, make a new exhaust, and then last but not least weld the diff, if I have missed something don't hesitate to edit the post
  15. I'm sure if you look at the tire placard on the door it should tell you what the original wheel sizes are
  16. When I had my 2tg it had an electric dizzy in it and twin sidedrafts (all original Toyota manifolds and electric dizzy) and never had an issue with the carbs hitting, I'd assume if you find a 2tg electric dizzy and an original twin side draft manifold you probably won't have a drama, I could be wrong too but considering how much is interchangeable with the t series motors I'd assume the g manifold would bolt up without an issue
  17. Not necessarily win..... But will fit his budget better hahaha and they can always be modified to run boost later down the track
  18. I have picked up many ca's for like $100 haha, so you can get them cheap enough, you just gotta look around for awhile and make sure you make your mind up on a definate engine. A Ca or Sr half cut would be good for a conversion and you could sell a lot of things and make some cash back, the motor part won't be that hard cause a million people have put sr's and ca's into keto's and there is a heap of info on this site to help, but you also have to look at brakes then suspension, tailshaft, fuel system for a ca18det conversion your looking at about $10,000 doing most of it yourself and finding shit cheap as chips, your much better of doing a 4age conversion cause they are a lot easier to do and can be turbo'd with minimal hassles
  19. A cammed 5k with a Webber ported head and full exhaust should make for a cheap drifter for a tight track, the rest will be upto speed and how big your balls are, Btw how big is your budget..... you could get away with a 4age conversion doing most of the stuff yourself, except wiring unless your an auto sparky for $5-$6,000 then, once thats running fine it will be a 'budget' drifter
  20. 10mm and 12mm spanner and a socket set 1/4drive works the best, should be off memory 5 or 6 10mm bolts along the top of the guard under the bonnet, another one just in behind the front door at the top corner of the guard, and then there will be one or two at the bottom of the guard in the sil, then there will be 4 bolts in behind the bumper at the front of the guard to remove them you need to remove the bumper(if its standard bumper), look at the guard and you will see said 4 bolts to remove
  21. Have a look in the f/s section
  22. Celica t series gearboxes have a different shifter setup to a t18 t series gearbox which as styler said the celica's shifter position is further forward than the t18 which maybe an issue, but a trim job on the transmission tunnel will quickly solve
  23. Hahahahaha yeah it'll happen in afew months, when when... I mean IF you feel like changing it :P
  24. That's a lie... Mine doesn't and has never, so :P .hahaha, check your swaybar mounts and shocks
  25. Yeah the 3t bellhousing is the same..... 2tg 3tc... Both t series motors bud
