will be good to see what happens with ya front brakes man
-
I had a set of ke struts with commo brakes on them and king lows, all it was, was a 5mm or 6mm plate drilled and tapped to hole the commo calipers and re drilled the disk to take rolla pcd! Oh and the wheels bearings had changed too
-
oh yeah good point man, the misso has a excel lol i always drive her around so she can drive me around hehehe, I don't think it would take any longer than a full weekend, with about 3 people ripping it apart and swapping stuff mind you i did an engine swap in 12hrs with about 5hrs help from chris (undertaker)
-
yeah man up the swing arm on the right hand side, then along the boot, hence the little tab looking things, then into the boot lock,
-
the blue one had heaps in the rear guards aye :( yeah i might kick myself once i swap everything back but atleast it wont be full of rust like the white ke is :bash: yeah beers are always in the fridge hahahaha, then there is the half bottle of turkey hanging around are ya keen reed??? and the seats and 5k stay with me lol :P

-
dude the fuel release cable goes into the side were the stopper is, you just have to take out the stopper now and drill a hole into the side, were the stopper used to be  if that makes sence and the boot realese cable is just as easy it runs along the D/S same as the fuel door realease cable and then up the right side of the boot and into the lock pics to follow gimme a minute or two
-
dude the ef just needs a decent spring and shock in the rear and a swaybar and it'll be sweet, it does it fine as it is i'd say it's a special leaf that is made to do it mate
-
can get them and post them up if you would like bud EDIT: here are some pics Top of c pillar Under rear window on D/S Boot Latch Notice left compared to Right side Inside boot on D/S near rear bumper mounts that is a nice hole :bash: Inside boot again near fuel sender wires Lefthand side of boot near where the jack handle is kept Rubber grommet over bumper bar bolt hole pic 1 Pic 2 without grommet in the hole Left rear guard Drivers door D/S rear guard D/S rear quarter and that is all i WANT to look for

i have a pair of the black plastic ''vents'' i guess is easiest to describe them, 20bucks to ya door
-
yes you do have a point there dave, it's just this car has too much rust in it for me to spend money on it getting it fixed, You bring alot of good points to the table sir, and i agree with alot of them, it's not so much re shelling a stock keto though, it's just starting again with a much better shell I just need to know is it gonna be worth it just to start with a cleaner shell
-
Hi guys and girls as the title states i need opinions on weather or not to re shell. As the ke i've got now is a rusty POS, and has holes everywhere, i.e in the spare wheel well there is big holes, under the right hand side of the rear window, you can see into the car, the top of the c pillar is bogged up,, the rear guards are full of rust,....... Enough said, Were as the pearl is nearly rust free but will need EVERYTHING swapped Question is will it be worth swapping everything over into a cleaner shell????
-
are the mounts gonna pass roady and engineering???? Not doubting ya work but i've heard that vic is a c@&t to get anything passed, but good to see your doing it ya self bud, skid vids are a massive must once it's done
-
it's clean but au's are the ugliest falcons ever made hahahaha, sorry to say des Ps usually wings on falcons look gay but that doesn't look to bad
-
link to toymods thread???
-
fair enough just a thoughtt though  I do believe pics are in order :P
-
4k with quad throttles and engine work nom nom nom, that would be a wild setup
-
I am thinking about re shelling this car and putting it all into the black pearl, after catching hold of a square gutter after my brakes locked both front wheels and sent the left wheels up onto the gutter, what made things worse than the brakes locking up and going up the gutter, was that when i drove the car off the gutter, there was a police sargent waiting to have a feild day with the car, he asked wtf the go was why it happened called me a dick and then proceded to fine me with un due care and attention, after i couldn't tell him enough times the tires are absolute shit and suit skidders rather than anything else, he then said i bet if i got in the car and drove round the same corner it would happen to me, i simply said yes i bet you it would, he then said 'so your car is defectable and i can pull it off the road'. 'yes officer i don't care pull it off the road' i just put my car up onto a gutter and now your gonna fine me for it????? Thanks c@nt  So today i ended up with a f@$ked wheel alignment more noises than i can poke a stick at, a maybe 300dollar fine and possibly a point or two off my licence beacuse of the cheap shit tires on my car  END RANT so moral of the story is pay good money for good tires don't skimp out on shit like that, and this car might end up as the next coke can you drink out of.............. Rusty POS
-
yeah i know it'd be hard to do but imagine the wheels you'd be able to fit under them hehe, i dunno about costing millions of dollars for a guard, maybe go to the wreckers and find a rear ended taxi cab or something maybe :hmm: , i do understand why you'd use a kesev guard though sameish body shape and easier to work with :P
-
I love the xr/fairmont combo i think they look sick nice ef man, One thing i think you may or may not like is the spoiler on the back, i hated mine and pulled it off as soon as i got the car home hahaha One thing i would strongly advise doing is manwell convert it, cause you wont look back, i never did and everybody i've spoken too has said that after converting them, there a completly different/better car, as with anything though haha If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it
-
Just something i was thinking about too, as your going to use kesev flares, i was wondering have you thought about ve commondore front flares??? They are wide enough as it sits on a commondore, and i could only imagine them being huge on a rolla! Just a thought :hmm:

this is super clean mate  I love it keep up the good work and looks good with those works on it too bud -
technically and theoretically you should be able to mix springs between coilovers, i.e take a 6kg spring from a tien coilover and put it into the HSD's, assuming dimensions are correct, just a diff spring rate, maybe thats just hopes and dreams but it's worth looking into
