  1. maybe.... i did read a good guide on flaring guards. Other than that.... ive only learnt things specific to muntifying corollas. Just someone buy my celica. DO IT.
  2. My RA28 factory tacho has absolutely no issue reading the RPM with my electronic dissy and programmable ECU setup (EFI). The original dissy was points system. I just get the tacho to measure of the negative terminal of the coil, as per normal. Still works for me, to this day.
  3. just a note... you can actaully use the stock 4AGZE ECU with a turbo instead of the supercharger.... its not ideal, but it does work. Of course you are boost limited to 14-15psi before fuel cut. Always handy to know, as it allows you to nicely "stage" each step of a 4A-GTE build; Stage 1 - fit stock 4AGZE with T50 box Stage 2 - upgrade box to W55/W58 Stage 3 - replace supercharger with turbo Stage 4 - replace ECU with a microtech or similar programmable ECU. Stage 5 - ??? Stage 6 - skids
  4. you can... but you'll have to block the oil return line from the head. Its probably there for a reason, so i *personally* would try to keep it functional.
  5. awesome tech thread. I now feel confident enough to give this a go myself, one day
  6. why not just post up your questions for open discussion??
  7. well attempting to sell it. Its still for sale..... someone farken buy it so i can school all you corolla newbs on how to make a rolla *really* move. Tractor engines for life.
  8. 18RG's are a rear sump engine, so to fit to a TE72 you will need a front sump and pickup from a hilux 18R-C. Then you will need to make engine mounts. Transmission from a 22R will fit, but might need some massaging of the tranny tunnel (can't confirm if necessary tho). If you are looking for a cheap conversion, the 18RG is probably not for you. There are plenty of much more simple conversions for your TE72, like a 2TG, 4AGE, etc.
