ok guys before you ask no i don't have any photos ;) they will be up as soon as i take some. ok the low down, was up at mad mazda matts shop, and one of his mechanics mentioned he saw an 'old corolla' sitting near the gate at one of the local wreckers. i thought no harm in having a looksie, so on my lunch break i dawdled down there expecting to see an old ae82 or something. sure enough there was a little KE30 2 door sitting in just behind the front gate. knowing the owner i told hin i was going to have a glance, it turns out to be a 1975 2 door manual.....with a 5k in place of the 3k :thumbsup: the owner of the yard said 500, i said done. so it is currently residing in matts backyard until tomorrow arvo when i can get a trailer to bring it home. after inspecting a bit on my lunch break today i noticed it had a holden key in the ignition, almost straight and rust free body....and the 5k has a blown head gasket :( so future plans will be pull 5k out and replace with 4k while the 5 is being rebuilt, possibly respray, have some brake burners sitting at home i will whack on, tidy up and drive basically. so thats about it for now, will keep you posted.

ok so new black velour seatcovers, blue LED lights for dash cluster, new front brake pads....and regoed by the end of the week hopefully

well when i do finally get around to it i will see which will be easier and give it a go.

nope its definetely happening zow, jess's cousin wants her to go to some expo with her on the same day, and its in brissy, so this shit is happening

i am actually half tempted to get my sister to buy it and i will give her the ksev to get regoed and drive around :/ i really don't want to see it scrapped

i can and will as soon as i go to have another look at it. if my sister decides not to buy it i may either try to buy it or at least the 5k

hey guys another noob ke30 question. will ke30 4 door doors fit a ke30 2 door sedan? or are the 2 door ones longer?

man getting pumped for this. don't know if the rolla will be registered for the day, but i will be there one way or another

it is a bit rough. i had a quick look at it the other day, has a few spots of surface rust, but its actually pretty good. r/h front guard is a bit bent but thats no problem. will probably need tyres and roof lining, but those things are pretty easy to fix. i just really want to save it before it gets crushed. its at a wreckers.....and he doesnt usually hold old corollas for long :sob:

well if a tap and die set don't work, you could pick up another 4k block fairly cheaply, and a new set of head studs wouldnt set you back too much. for the price of mucking around with a tap and die set, and a new bolt to suit i reckon a new block and studs would be a better option. whats to say one of the other studs isnt weakened and could do exactly the same thing down the track?

hey guys my sister is looking for a first car, and i happened to stumble upon a KE30 2 door manual with a 5K. the owner is asking $500 for it, it is a bit rough, needs a good clean up and probably some new tyres. is that a good price for what we would be getting? i have convinced my sister that if she buys it the 4K i have sitting at home would be a better motor ;) so i would claim the 5k for my car.

I'm hoping not to have the same problem mate. but i have put the date in on the calendar so technically it should be locked in

hey guys i have a 1981 ke70 cs, and i want took the lights for my gauges up to the lights in the car. just wondering if there is a wire that all ke70's have? or do i need to go through all of them with a test light?

well if i get the coin the father in law and i will be givin g her a respray in fire engine red :) he works at a panel shop, and someone ordered some and never picked it up so get it cheap

ok so arming myself with $120 worth of super cheap vouchers.....off to the 50% off sale :) hoping to get seat covers, possibly some new speakers, may even do an oil+filter change. if i have any coin left possibly get some plugs and leads. and i know reed i need to put some more photos up

i never got to put the 35 coupe in when i came down cause they asked for a gold coin donation and i didnt have any so i just parked outside :/ I'm gona come fully stocked for this one

well, this has come up rather fast. from memory i have partially owned 3 cars since i posted on here :/ the ksev will be the last for a while, so I'm gona go nuts. i will be there for sure

hmm havent updated in a while :) have installed sub and amp, 6 inch speakers in parcel tray, head unit and triple speco gauges in the console. have some new brake pads to fit next chance i get, then have to attack the rust under the fuel filler before roady :) have also finished installing the tacho dash, will upload some more pics when i find where the camera is. also saved 2 13x7 and 2 14x7 cheviot hotwires before they met the scrap yard :) much win in this sector lately
