  1. More pics of the RT72...
  2. Makes it easier to unload, just reverse the winch and of she goes !...
  3. Had them cad plated 12 years ago. I still think most chrome platers can gold cad plate as well.
  4. You mean this one, i'm in the process of trying to fit a 5 speed floor shift gearbox to replace the 4 speed column shift one. When i went to Wakefield Park it travelled at about 100kph at 4000rpm, hopefully with the 5 speed 110 at about 3800rpm. It used about 15-20lts less fuel than a mates EL Falcon towing his race car, i was happy ! .Next will be to tickle up the 2.0 5R motor, just need to find another 10-20hp and she'll be perfect!
  5. I sometimes forget how lucky i am to have these in the collection. I was fortunate to have bought them all many years ago, the red KE17 1995, white KE17 1997 and the RT72 Corona 2001. Trying to find them now would be nearly impossible and cost a small fortune. The Corona took me about 4 years to track the owner down, when i told her i was interested she was so excited, 2 years late when she reached 85 she decided it was time to give up driving. She rang me and sold me the car which she had bought new in 1970, its now only travelled 80,000miles i bought it with about 72,000 miles. I actually don't know of any other RT72's still registered and driving around, especially an SL 1900 model. If anyone does know of another i'd be keen to know.
  6. Had to do a little shuffle this arvo so as to get the red KE17 back under cover after being away at the workshop for the last few weeks. The silver one is my 1970 Corona RT72 1900 SL, The white KE17 SL is my wifes which she was thinking of selling, but now i've got it out and going again she's decided to hang on to in for now ( has been stored for the last 10 years) and finally the red KE17 SL which most of you already know.
  7. Ahh !!.., isn't it cute...
  8. An EOI is basically an auction therefore it should be left for Ebay. This will weed out all those questions of " how much are you after mate ", also if you state your price all prospective buyers will know if they can afford it or not. You either want to sell it or not, basically i think an EOI is a " i don't really want to sell it but if someone offers me enough money i'll let it go". Also how long does an EOI go for, atleast with an auction we all know how long we have to decide. It just saves alot of time waisted. :)
  9. I'm sure this is the same colour, though this is a 68 model, looks a little darker in the pics and yes its a factory metallic finish. I know a couple of people who bought a Bill Buckle Corolla S. This car would be a great base for a Nc car but for now i'll keep Supersprinting my KE17 SL Sprinter ( the red one ).
  10. Don't know as yet, i only bought it because earlie series KE10's with the rubber floor mats in manual are hard to come by, especially one in a factory metalic colour. This was the the last KE10 Corolla i bought and the most expensive!
  11. It Haymen Blue i believe. I only had to replace and paint the front apron, i just buffed the rest of the car. The interior trim just needed a good clean and a small repair to the drivers seat.
  12. Boot is finished, just need to put back the factory tool kit. Interior needs seat belts re installed, exterior needs front windscreen visor and drivers visor fitted back on.
  13. More pics, i still need to put the front back on and some engine bay accessories. I put a battery in it, pored some fuel down the carby and of she went!
  14. After 2 years sitting in the shed i thought it was time to finish it of. I actually needed to get it out so as to get to the KE17 Sprinter .
  15. Hate to tell you but that steering wheels on the wrong side !!. Nice car anyway !!..
  16. Thumbs up for an old skool "electro" KE17!
  17. Only a K series engine will do, try a 3KGTZE, 1.2 litre, twin cam, turbo, supercharged !!!, mmmmmmmmmmm!!! Will drop in on the factory engine mounts, bolt up to the 2 speed Toyoglide box, put out about 145 rwkw and about as east to find as tits on a bull !!.
  18. The MK1 Triumph has been my daily for the last 18 months, but i think i'll move it on soon and start using the Crown.
  19. Turbo is a IHI RB6, came of a KB Laser Turbo. I have a boost control switch on the gear stick, either 8psi or 12psi, dynoed at near 100hp at the wheels. Its alot of FUN !!!
  20. Now the fun begins !!!......
  21. And here's one i purchased on Ebay in October 07 from Victoria, 1975 MS85 Super Saloon , all the power options and only about 154,000kms, its such a great cruzin car, i can't get over just how good a car it is to drive !!.. It came standard with dual air con, power steering, power windows, AM/FM radio cassette, central locking, intermittent wipers, antenna built into the front screen, day night interior rear view mirror and a super smooth 2.6 6 cylinder engine !!..
  22. This is why i had to do a car shuffle so as to get the Anglia out, had this one stored for nearly 11 years so thought it was about time to do something with it !!
  23. Here's the mini, had this one since 1987, finished the resto back in the earlie 90's.
  24. Here's the sister to your little car except its a KE17. It used to be my wife's daily driver up until about 10 years ago, its now in the back of the shed!!..
  25. I found these ones on Ebay a while back, actually came of a Mazda RX 7 SII, 13 x 5.5. They are branded Formula 1 are made in Japan and are very very light. I run a 185/60 on the rear and 175/60 on the front. This is my wet weather package !!
