  1. Picked this one up last night, had been floating on Ebay for a while and no one else went to check it out. Original 98,000kms, now sporting a 5 speed, all new shocks & springs, new 16" alloys & tyres, new front end steering components and immaculate only needing a vacuum and exhaust flange gasket replace. Only thing i'll be doing is replace the wheels with some old skool 15" items or factory 14" with hubcaps & whitewalls.
  2. My KE17 is basically Nc spec less the 7K and 5 Speed.
  3. Lou, have you got room to bring down some wheels for me. Jon Barr has some that i bought on Ebay a couple of years back.
  4. ROH Hustlers, usually 5 spoke for Holden & Falcons in 14" but the smaller 13's are normally 4 stud 4 spoke. Look very old skool with semi gloss centres and polished lip.
  5. Nice ride Lou and welcome aboard !
  6. This is my 1 owner KE11 with about 52,000 miles.
  7. I know this has been asked and answered before but i can't find the original posting. Any help would be great !
  8. Totally agree, its the old skool original examples that fetch the bigger dollars. Recently the red KE10 that was advertised in Unique Cars was sold for $8000, pretty much all original apart from a recent exterior quality repaint. I've had numerous offers over 10k for my white with green racing stipes KE11. If the cars as good as it sounds i think its value is around $8000-$10,000. Lets face it, it'll be a lot of car for that. Nothing to do but wash and enjoy, not a project that you'll get sick of and spend way too much money on. Its not my cup of tea but i'm sure it will be someone's.
  9. Corolla up against a Kingswood & Falcon 500 !!!
  10. Originally i thought i could just get the rail pulled out then replace the whole front rails and all with another. Unfortunately its also bent the firewall and the drivers side strut tower is also bent back. Currently clearing some space in the back of the shed to store it, i'm using the peddle box and a couple of other bits for my other KE35.
  11. Well...looks a very big job, most likely keep for spares for my other KE35.
  12. Picked this one up today, came from a local lad who had an altercation with a slow moving truck. Couldn't bare to see it go to the wrecker. After i get the motor and box out i'll asses the damage to see if it can be fixed.
  13. Looks great !!, the best thing you can do is convert it to a manual. I've had heaps of Crowns and the manual one go great !!!. Just find another manual Crown to get the bits, it'll transform the car.
  14. Just picked this one up from fellow Rollaclub member. Fitted the MA61's while i get the original 13's painted. Car is in well above average condition, rust is limited to the bottom of the guards and a previous repair to the sills. Will be getting it buffed and polished this week and i'm expecting to paint to come up a treat. Interior is amazing, no rips or tares, dash and carpet are perfect and door and window rubbers are great. Mechanically drives well, needs exhaust manifold leak fixed, tune up and a front left wheel bearing but apart from this its a little gem.
  15. Wife decided to let Ebay make the decision ! Car is now heading north to a worthy new owner. Keep an eye out for it in the Brisbane Jap classic care seen.
  16. 14" wheels from a Corona. Don't now how to post the link on YouTube-Riverside Oaks Khanacross 2010. No action of the Corolla but of a couple of other cars.
  17. Seeing as my KE10 Khanacross Special wasn't finished we decided to use the old AE 71 that had been hanging around for spares. After about 5 hours of stripping, cleaning, fitting the race seat, extinguisher, bonnet pins, alloys and rally tyres from my old KE 70 khanacross car and locking up the diff this 1600 3 speed auto was ready for its first event. The event was out at Riverside Oaks at Catai, 6 stages with 3 attempts at each. I double entered the car with a mate and apart from breaking a rear exhaust rubber the car went surprisingly well for a stocka !
  18. Went out and did a Motokhana for the first time. Not something i usually do but it was on the wet skid pan at Eastern Creek so not to tough on the drive train. Came 2nd in class and 3rd outright! Actually had a blast even though it was a low speed event. Was able to take my 7 year old son for a bast at lunch time, he was wrapped!!!
  19. Toyota 700!, not as rare as you might think there's actually quite a few lying around. Al Palmer used to race one in the 70's powered by a hot 3K. He used to blow away Cooper S's.
  20. Hold out for a good body, no point waisting good money making a rust heap go fast!. Also stay clear of unfinished projects, you'll end up spending even more time and money chasing bits you thought came in all those boxes of spares that came with the car? Good Luck and welcome to Rollaclub!!
  21. Problem is insurance companies will just freight the cars interstate to be sold. The industry of dodgy people just dealing in repairable write offs in NSW is huge. If i'm not spending my day selling cars i'm out there buying, i can spot a RR vehicle from its on line add straight away, there are certain areas of Sydney i just never buy cars from. Lets just hope this doesn't make our insurance premiums go up!
  22. Nice!, just make sure you keep that dash covered and the windows down whenever possible. The heat will start curling the ends of the dash if left to bake for too long..
  23. If its an RT40 unfortunatly prices for these have not done much over the last 15 years. I've had a few, great to drive but overlooked by most people. The Corolla's & Crowns have a bigger following. Depending on condition and originality around $1000 - $2000. If it was the best one in existence still only worth about $6000 to the right buyer. Get some pics posted, this will always help. Good luck!
  24. I'm a member of Southern Sporting Car Club, they have an 8 round series for Supersprints. Round 4 is on the 18th April at Eastern Creek, i'll be there in my KE17. Membership is about $55 per year, CAMS Licence $150? per year, entry to the event is $200, Wakefield is usually about $170. Southern is a good club with some very helpful people, they also have driver training days at Marulan. They have a web site for more info. I'm more than happy to help another old Corolla driver hit the track!, just PM for any more info.
  25. Some progress pics, replaced boot lid with a KE11 one so decided to change tail lights to match, interior clean now just need to fit the factory rubber floor coverings, changed door trims to black ones instead of the original blue, engine bay just needs engine and i still need to change bonnet to a better one. Gave it a quick hand polish but will give it a cut n buff when completed.
