Hm I think I might just put it all together, would excessive valvetrain noise happen if the preload isnt enough? heres a pic, you can see that the first few rocker arms arent touching by a couple mm when i push them onto the pushrods, it seems too much, the oil lifters can't prime that much can they?

would shaving the posts due to the increased lift in the cam fix this problem? i have also had the head shaved, so wouldnt the pushrods if anything be longer? or is the shaving an insignificant amount

ok first of all how old are you? are there any licence restrictions that do not let you drive turbo cars? I'm not sure whats legal down there, a turbo v8 could cost an unlimited amount of money, what is your budget

yea you could just go really fast and give it a nice handbrake, that should get you sideways in the dry, i hope this is on a nice safe race track too

ok new question, why are the rocker bolts chamferd? i have 3 bolts that i think are from the original hydraulic rocker gear and they seem to have a higher chamfer than the normal 4k bolts, i will get pics when i can, also i think the hydraulic ones are longer, does oil run inside those posts where the bolt goes? i doubt it will i be able to use the shorter 4k bolts with the hydro rocker posts, ill get pics when i get home from work whats the point of the chamfered part, and why is there wear on the bolts themselves, it seems there is something inside the posts that stops them going in nicely, is this normal?

ok if you just rebuilt your engine, it would have been alot easier if you decided you wanted to turbo it earlier, so you could build it with parts to suit. Why not go 4AGZE?

If you want a tacho, why not just get a tacho dash? Alot cheaper, easier to install and less attention, I have an oil gauge installed where my choke used to be on my KE70

hey guys do you think this gap between my fan and my water pump is bad, as the shaft hits the inside bit? I should be able to tighten it up with some nuts but there is that 1mm or so gap

ok so your up for doing things yourself, thats good as it will save you a hell of a lot of money, you should work out your main goal for your car first, ie what your going to use it for, the first thing i would do is convert it to 5spd manual

why would you upgrade to a ke70 if you were going to go sr20det? they are also have a 4k? do you mean ae71?

if your really keen on it id start buy throwing those wheels as far as you can, get some 14s on there, not rotas either, they are crappy quality

so using 4age pistons and decking the block lowers the capacity?
