  1. sigma control arms are overkill, don't do it, just get some tyres first that would be the easiest mod to do and you will get better feel
  2. you were running the stock diff behind a 4age? what about an ae71 diff, or an s series, they also fit and are more readily available, but a t series would probably be the best for your application

  4. ok so i found some hydraulic rocker gear, pushrods and a 5k head, will this work with the 4age pistons? or will there be compression issues? how can i find out how much to shave my head? i want to be able to run 98 octane premium, so is a comp ratio of about 10.5:1 right?

  6. hmm ill have to have a look, but thanks for the help, i think i have an idea of what i need now, I'm not sure if i can afford a solid conversion though, so ill have to look for hydro push rods and non adjust rocker gear
  7. i thought the 4k heads have adjustable rocker gear? yea i have had to change my plan a bit as my budget has decreased alot and i want to get it together before december, so i was trying to work out what i can use out of what i have

  16. ok well i found out that the brand new solid lifters from toyota cost 262 dollars, thats for the 5k ones
  17. so has anyone here actually done the conversion to solid lifters? what are the advantages?

  24. yep, but the thing is that i used that behind my 4k that blew, and had it machined, would this put it out of balance?
  25. guys any idea on what head work should be done? and just to confirm that the 5k standard gasket should be ok with 4age pistons? also When does an engine bottom end come out of balance? If the engine has been balanced am I able to balance the flywheel separately?
