  1. ok guys i have a new dilemma, i took off the sump of the engine i want to put in, and i cleaned up the sump a bit and found this piece of metal in the bottom of the sump, I'm not too sure where it comes from, any ideas?

  5. dude my car was always full of oil, i was driving it hard and something started rattling, atm ive pulled the head off and am thinking of taking the engine out

Hey guys I was driving home from uni last night in my ke70 with 4k and I noticed my oil light was on and my oil pressure was at zero, as my revs rose I could hear a loud tapping/rattling noise from my engine, and a strong smell, I went to the servo and bought some oil, when I opened my bonnet i could see white smoke puffing out of the breather, and also when i opened the cap there was white smoke coming out, i filled it with oil although it was dripping out from somewhere on the inlet side, ive taken a look and think it might be the head gasket, what else could it be? the coolant looks darkish like a black colour, if it was a head gasket would it be making that loud tapping noise? any help appreciated
  7. ahhh k i get it now, so the alloy one u have atm is not cooling enough? hm maybe make up like an aluminium intake to direct air right into the radiator?
  8. dude just use the original ones, if u want new ones look on ebay and stuff or even japan for the different styled ones
  9. atm i use a 4ac clutch fan with a 55 radiator and the ke70 comes standard with an overflow bottle with a cap that has a pipe that leads into the engine bay, the cap ontop of the bottle is brittle and leaks though, do u lose coolant during the race?
  10. would using a regular fixed fan or clutch fan with a shroud run better? maybe getting it recored? do you use an overflow bottle?

  14. what water temps do you guys get usually? i have a ke70 and my water rarely goes above the first lil line, usually lower, atm I'm using a ke55 radiator although i would like to get another 70 one
  15. i think white is one of the most "jap" colours you could get
  16. from a 3k? i don't think so, it would be pushing it
  17. na don't do maroon, if i was you id repaint it in the standard colour
  18. why not upgrade your engine to a 4 or 5k
  19. yes i do realise that....the actual material that the holleys are made out of wear a heap faster than the weber and therefore need to be repaired more often....its nothing really like that analogy you said

  21. ive got a holley 180 on my 4k atm, goes heaps well, although if i was going to do anything it would be to upgrade to a weber, better quality
  22. if your going to buy a 4k you might as well get a 5k, and yes learn how to spell

  24. omg please don't, imo i don't think those mirrors suit the 70 shape, you need the square ones, they are too old
