i had a look at these filter at supercheap, the z386 is about half the size but the holes (were the filterd oil comes out) are smaller? so maybe the the z68 has better flow? I'm gonna give the z386 ago next service ;) thanks for the info felix legend!

I'm running a repco filter on my 4k and it takes 5 secs to get oil pressure, 3 seconds when warn???? what brand is the z386? fit 4k?

sounds like valve steam seals, i think valve guides will give you a abnormal idle like my car

^^ thats from to much carbon deposits in your combustion camber, so when the engine is off the carbon gunk is hot enough to ignite the air/fuel mixture

leave it on 12 and use 98 or 95 and your problem will go away, i remember i was short on cash a week so i put 91, ran like shit, randomly pining and detonation running 98 and never had a problem since :y: wait so your removed and blocked the solenoid? so whats surpose to stop the engine from pumping fuel in when ignition is off?

what fuel you running? you should be running a minium of 95 octane timing? should be between 8 and 15 degrees advanced also check the fuel cut solenoid on the side of the carby, get someone to turn the ignition on while you listen to the carby, you should hear a click I'm not really sure how they service the solenoid? remove clean and refit? or if its a manual just put the handbrake on and drop the clutch in 4th :y:

remove a 3k engine with all acc on it, gb and exhaust with 2 people/chain and a pole. instead of removing the engine mount, bend the radiator support out of the way. removing the diff from a car thats going to scrap, cut springs holding up the body and when the diff was out, resting on a spare wheel and a battery :wink: when car flooded that bad couldnt start it, a few sprays of aerogaurd and she was alive. cutting slots in my brake hose holder on my struts so i didnt need to undo the brake hose (bleed brakes) when removing struts thats it ontop my head

wgmg - this week i saw 2 diesel vans rev to 7 grand (run away diesel) and not go BANG, i wanted a rebuild :wink: oh well thats what you get when you overfill your engine oil

apprently a ke70 strut has smaller spring hat and spring so you can use a camber top, i orderd camber tops then fitted them to find out they only move 1mm :wink:
