yeah, i know what your saying with a need for new tracks away from tossers, but the issue is when darlington was zoned there was no building on its side of the hill. they then zoned the land on darlington side of the hill from me and residents complained. the government then made them shut down because the DB readings were higher than what was zoned for, but those restrictions were in place for residents my side of the hill. not the darlington side. all I'm saying is unless you build a track in an unhospitable area development will grow up around it and then residents will shut it down. anywho....lakeside might be getting opened again soon :)

i know how many tracks have been closed and it sucks. residents should just learn to deal with it rather than whining and pressuring the council into getting it shut down. I'm saying why not reopen some of those tracks, rather than build a new one. twas just my 2c :)

why would they be building new tracks when there a perfectly good old tracks just in need of a resurface and reopening QR would be cool, but i don't know how keen the poopy k motor boys are about it :) then again I'm really organising this for me. have to see how it goes, cars still not even running so i got alot of stuff to get done to make it presentable. the car doesnt have to rwc'd tho does it?

okies, ill look into that option. thanks :) we don't use the chain to hold it. its there just incase the car gets a bit lively and decides to slide around the chain will stop it moving. but so far the handbrake has held all of them in place ill keep it in mind tho and use tiedowns if i borrow someones trailer :)

manual except 5 speed sedans have a 3.889 5 speed sedans have a 4.300 (optional 3.889) and the auto has a 4.111 biggo...you diff has the aidz :) either that or the number on your diff is just a rounded off 3.889 ie 3.889 becomes 3.89 if u give 2 decimal places. i doubt that tho :)

day permits from qld transport are more expensive than hiring a trailer for 3 hrs from what i recall when i looked into when i got my first car. jason, if you buy a mandrel bender ill be more than happy to pay you to do some work for me :) thanks red, no worries about the no reply. i know what its like. if some spare time just "pops up" and you have nothing better to do with it, let me know and ill do my best to give you something to do :) by "hire a towtruck" are we talking actually being able to hire the truck and drive it round myself. or get a tow company to come and tow it for me? by tie it down...are you talking about tying the car onto the trailer or have i missed something? in all my previous car trailer experiences we just get on there, leave the chain on the car with a little slack and put the handbrake on. havnt had any issues as yet cheers for the help guys

4 problems with that. A) car will be unregistered B) i can't afford the fine if i get caught C) i only have one point left D) i don't know if it will start now then, who has a trailer i could borrow?

the cheapest place ive found is 50 ish for 3 hrs, and a bit more for 6 problem is thats over a hundred dollars to hire it to take car there, and bring car back when work is done. I'm just trying to avoid that cost :)

hey guys. in need of a car trailer for a day or two so i can take the car to get intercooler piping and exhaust made up. wouldnt mind paying a small fee, and leaving a deposit. I'm in yatala. southside of brissie. but don't mind driving to the city or down the coast to get it as it will be cheaper than hiring a trailer to get the car out there and hiring another trailer to bring it back. even if you could borrow it off someone you know etc. i am trust worthy, don't worry there :) cheers guys. hope you can help out! regards, andrew

my stock ke70 axle tramps something shocking. then again the shocks are yonder 300,000 km's old. id give it a go with the stocko diff and if you rip big one wheels skids and clutch dump and it goes to slush just say "meh" whack a replacement in then get a conversion done up. i have an alfa lsd from a 71 i think berlina. duno what it weighs and the mounts have been moved for it to fit proper but i don't think it was shortened and its a good fit. don't be afraid to take a measure stick and think outside the box
