talk to a wreckers that fits tyres, I'm sure they would ;) phw down my way fits tyres, when u drop off that strut brace u could go there for ur mate :D if not just take the wheels in and ask them (them being a tyre shop or the wreckers) to fit the wheels to the rims, "its for a track day, yo" :D

I'm sure you ccould slothsnr but if your gonna do that why not go 2jz??? :D ive seen a ke70 wagon i think it was with a 1jz rammed in no firewall mods -
oh dear. I'm gonna tell a story.... alright! in the ke70 i wanted aircon. so i got the unit regassed and when i picked it up they said the unit doesnt come on when we play with the switch but we hard wired it and it works. theres a wiring fault somewhere that you need to get fixed. so i played around and got it to a stage where it would come on when the fan speed was on 4 but nothing else and the aircon switch had nothing to do with the aircon kicking in or not. then found that when this happened it made the headlights dim, the little indicator lights in the dash glow dimly and the indicators glow. the fuel gauge would run up to full and a whole array of other issues. so off to the auto elecs i go and they say yes, its an earthing issue. so i say ok, how difficult is it. they say "will have to clean up all the contacts everywhere to get it to work properly, a serious job" so i get it back 2 days and 245 dollars later, to find, some issues gone. new ones appeared. so i take it back and they spend a further 2 days effing around with evil wiring and cleaning up this and that they say its fixed. this time it was. on asking what they had done they said they had sand blasted every connection they could find and upgraded the earths because what had been happening was due to the age of the wiring the excess load was making currents run backwards and in general, just go effing crazy. why did i tell you this? because this shows that in my experience of old wiring systems they are evil and the issue, although broadly identified is never locatable. just gotta hope you get it when you do a bunch of stuff :D goodluck mate :D

never :D on a side note. was in bob jane yesterday talking about such things as tyres (As one does in bob jane) and was saying how i would like to put 205's on my 8" rims and aparrently its illegal to put anything less than a 225 on an 8" rim. soo, all these cars with stretched tyres are actually defects. just incase anyone was thinking of gettin it done :D

i don't think the 120+ kw is what you will get if you just dump a black top into your corolla. it must be worked to some extent -
i now have my hands on a list of approved persons in queensland. not sure if its comprehensive but anyone interested let me know and ill send u it :P

that i plan to do legitimately :P

bigger valves in a 20 valve head also results in a reduced squish area doesnt it? which means more area of 2 valves are sucking on the same air, which isnt too good.
-
they are very similar, but i don't think there is alot of room to get creative when you are squeezing five valves into one combustion chamber
-
but a new turbo is always gonna be alot better than a second hand one simply because of how fast a turbo spins it undergoes alot of wear don't know about that particular brand tho

lol, i got flamed when i said i was talking about this...ill tell you how it handles in about a week :y: so f@$king excited! now anywho, i think you could put a better v6 motor than a 3.8 commo motor in there. i also think you could build something that is more driveable all round. one thing ive always thought about people whacking oversized engines into cars that weigh less than a ton is weight distribution. you have this big mofo of a heavy engine siting in your engine bay. you line up at the christmas tree, gun it and what happens...you spin the wheels gloriously. why? because you have all this extra weight in the front the rear end is lightened and spins easier. whethere this is proven or not i don't know but its something worth thinking about when putting a heavy motor in a small car. maybe think firewall mods...depends how serious you are tho. now, to answer the question: what i think...stick with toyota. 1jz, 2jz, would make beautiful engines in these cars if you don't want it to handle. theres a ke70 on toymods where they fitted a 1jz without f/wall mods. but a 2jz would be even better, and you wanna push the weight a bit furhter back anyway
