yeah i figured the same dan, front cover is prob the only difference lol soon.....how many yrs is it to go now? its a good idea really, i just can't accept it as it sucks in the short term, but mining engineers average 70,000 first yr outta uni and there are jobs going for 120k for 3 yrs experience...woot! more than my parents earn put together 3 yrs outta uni.... anyone wanna know why i wanna be a mining engineer?

I'm petty sure these will be the same, what do people reckon? cheers guys

:D thanks lesley, that first link is awesome, looks like ill be saving about 50% on most books, and ebay has turned up trumps for a math book, 10 isntead of 115.... i know it is better in the long run, but ive been putting off progress for so long, saving funds, making plans and then BAM all gone again. corolla kid I'm at UQ St Lucia, I'm guessing you are to? going thru the list i realised 2 of the books had been repeated, so new its not "only" going to cost 950, hopefully ill wind up with it costing about 400. that i could deal with, still f@$kin sucks tho :y: firm believer university libraries should have the books for students to loan. well biggo, i wouldnt give a toss about the future if the rolla was actually powered...at the moment it just looks pretty and gets alot of looks frm kids walkin down the street. MAYBE one day ill be able to run them over :(

well, being the idiot i am i decided that "yes, i will go to uni" so i enroled into my bachelor of engineering thingy and am majoring in mining. so after spending a few hours workin all the bs out i was finally enroled and left it at that as i can't set up my timetable yet. i was prompted by a friend to check my booklist as she was having a whinge coz hers is 400 or so dollars....well lucky me! mine comes to a grand total of...... $1175.55 yes, over 1000 dollars for just 11 pissy books. and thats just for my first f@$king semester!!! and 10 of these i have to have :D the other one is a "helpful but not necessary text" so it looks like all my savings will now be dumped onto a bunch of f@$king books rather than the 1ggte :y: is it me, or everytime i try to do something thats supposedly a good idea for my future i end up geting f@$ked over by some more shit and in the end all my plans end up sprawled across the floor spitting teeth from their bloodied mouth? makes me wonder why i f@$king bother really.

sheeze is it really ? i still don't like it. sorry :D I'm very much of a spoiler, however i don't like big ones like those, its just too over done by ricers. they just look silly in my opinion when they are that big and likely do absolutely nothing. you are right, after market spoilers can be a real compliment, however, huge spoilers like that just don't do it for me

black is a bit dorifto spec ricer boy, but can look good on the right car. a nice matte black bonnet on the right coloured car looks tough, esp. when dropped on its balls and with a nice chunky scoop. on the note of scoops i saw one on a rav today, looked stock, but was nice. prob doesnt suit the ke70 tho...

the only thing none grandma spec in my ke70 is the lack of chrome trim and the bump things on the doors, along with a killer stereo. either get a rebuild, or get a 4k and get yourself pushing that corolla like you should :D although that said since this incident i havnt taken her over 5500, i tend to run out of fuel around that point anyway, need a carby kit. jet doesnt keep flowing as u open the throttle by hand, only to about 80% so I'm not sure if somethin needs adjusting or just needs fixing, but the difference taking her to 5000 compared to changin at 3000 is just amazing, such a better ride when u stretch her legs up to speed, but that doesnt stop me puttin it in 5th at 60km when drifting thru town. to accelerate use the revs :y:

cheaper is definitely a 5k crossmembers bolt in, and you just need to get the ae71 crossmember and the t50 gearbox. the t50 wont hold up long under the torque of the gze however it will get you moving, a w5x is the next option in gearboxes, and that will require more work. so your leaning towards a 5k with forced induction? yes? and youve always liked the idea of a supercharged engine in your car ?yes? why not supercharge a 5k? it would be the easiest and cheapest option in my opinion, and k gearboxes and diffs are relatively cheap and easy to get, even if you will break a few doing silly things with a turbo'd or supercharged 5k hope this helps

lol tis ok, its just alot of newbs make the mistake, and it soon catches on and yeah and yeah... with the fuel system thing, what does the 5k run? a normal cam driven one like the 4k or is it an electric fuel pump? and what would you use or do for a better fuel supply?

supercharger is definately an easier and cheaper option. and on your reasoning fayt you could always just say its a supercharged engine :P oh and also, can you get the wheel straighened?
