  1. probably switches for all the gauges, and anything that goes off the ignition. in my car i pulled out 4 switches and 3 leds all were for the water/methanol injection. if you want, you'd be amazed how many different things can be put on different switches
  2. so thats your car? and your car is the orange one in your dp and up there ^^ if not I'm soo confused lol
  3. ok, lets back this up a step.... the ones i will use if i ever do use them are the speedo and tacho so its not like i couldnt just go and scan my own, but thats a pain in the ass when those ones are right there. and the reason i posted that i was yoinking them is so that teddy knew, and if he had any objection he could easily ask me to delete them. teddy: what you have said has been taken in, and i agree 100% with what you have said, you don't wanna do all the hard work for some f@$kstick (me) to come along, take them, and sell them on, and i would never do that. if i do anything with these and people ask me for some, ill just tell them to talk to you :) i actually have a question, i see you have modified the speedo and tacho to 200 and 10,000. the speedo is still on the same scale, but the tacho is not, how is that you will make the tacho read correctly? cheers mate, and if you do want me to delete them i will :(
  4. i agree 100% doing it urself is the best bit and i WAS planning on making my own piping, even found some old pipe out the back of the shed to use, then i went around to get some quotes on silicon reducers and bends a 3" --> 2" reducer is 25.45 a 2" 90degree bend is 75 considering i need 2 reducers and 5 bends, getting the piping done is actually cheaper oh really? theres so much i need to learn about forced induction....so what sort of turbo would i be looking for to hold silly amounts of boost?
  5. thats that twin engine car, the one on the ps1 yeah? love that car sooo much :)
  6. quiet you, i still have lots to learn :) we identified that answer 2 pages ago lol at the moment I'm in search of a cheap place to intercooler and exhaust piping... ??
  7. too late, saved them too my comp. so you know that if i ever decide to get creative ill be using yours :)
  8. holy crap, thats soo trippy
  9. oh now she has changed her post so i look like an idiot lol
  10. well i have no understanding of women :) ill change it if i must
  11. there is 2 of them, but no, theyre nothin to get excited about, but i could just remove the waste gate actuator vacuum hose :( i could see one of those on the 1g in about.....8 years :)
  12. I'm not painting it :) we'll have to see how much lag i get, and its all in readiness for when i want to do something serious, and its just gonna give me cooler intakes, which is never a bad thing
  13. its called blocking the air flow, ever looked at a radiator? now think about spraying it with paint, all those gaps between the fins will disappear, now hows the air gonna flow hmm? the black will stop the air flowing through the cooler so just to make this a little less tedious, yes on the front edge it may cool quicker, but maximised air flow is what we want through all 100mm of cooler, which means that painting it reduces its overall effectiveness
  14. reality is the illusion caused by a lack of alcohol isnt it?
  15. but how many radiators and intercoolers sit directly in the sun without moving, the thing is when your moving the amount of heat the black will absorb or radiate is much less than the amount of cooling being down by the passing air. painting the cooler or radiator reduces the amount of air passing through so the cooling is lessened. thats all well and good until you factor in body heat warming the inside of the blanket and the bodies way of cooling by evaporation. i.e. don't wear jackets/blankets in the summertime, unless you are a snowman ive been wondering the same thing :)
  16. yeah ive decided to f*ck society in general and do whatever i wanna do, coz really it serves no purpose and humans are destined to either destroy the world or render it uninhabitable
  17. but before you start pondering all that, think about why we are here :) to better society...whats the point in society? yeah, now ur thinkin
  18. that ones easy, its like asking who is god. i believe it was created by something, but for us to try and understand it or worship it is beyond our poor 'ittle 'uman capabilities and the creator never wanted us to worship him in the first place.
  19. its all too much for my simple mind, i like to leave such things un-investigated and stick to the meaning of life....which in actual fact has no meaning...but thats a discussion for another day and to think that it just stops. well thats just weird to think that it is endless......thats even weirder i spose back in the day people thought the earth stopped, so hey, who knows, in 500 years they will laugh at our primitive thinking.
  20. The 2T-G engine was standard in the GT model, which was not mass released in Australia. The 2T-G is a 4 cylinder in line DOHC displacing 1588cc's. It features: “a cross-flow head with center sparking plugs; Water jacketed aluminum alloy intake manifolds for quicker warm-up and prevention of carburetor icing: Dual solex “40 PHH†carburetors with idle limiter and double floats for ideal response under hard cornering, quick acceleration, fast stopping; Five-bearing crankshaft for smoothness and added durability; Pistons with a special auto-thermic plate built-in preventing deformation under extreme heat and keeping proper spacing and alignment between piston and cylinder wall – a feature developed through the stresses of racing; A 9.8:1 compression ratio for more power with less fuel. This 2T-G type engine puts out a maximum horsepower of 124 at 6400 rpm with a maximum torque of 15.6 m-kg (113 ft-lb) at 5200 rpmâ€. (As specified in the Toyota Sales leaflet) i stand corrected, but even in the 80's the corolla still went without crossflow :( oh well, the 1g fixes all that :)
  21. i see....14" thats a long way! and the interior is still tidy, built in around it nicely :)
  22. is it me or is there miles of room in that engine bay? i don't like the body tho, its been well done, but those arches :) so not my things
  23. their technology develops too you know :( :)
  24. i have an open mind, and I'm not gonna disregard what people say, seeing is believing tho, so i sit the fence on this matter
  25. oh biggo showed me pics of that engine, i thought some rich jap dude had converted it to twin cam etc etc, always wondered the point, now it makes sense :) lol
