hmm, bit old to drag up but anywho... has the engine now stopped desieling on? and with the backfiring under engine braking, is it a proper BANG or just sort of little put put pop put. if its the second one thats quite common, esp if the muffler is doing alot

so you want more power than a 4age? yes? either a 4agze or turboing the 4age. turbo 4a's can make very extreme amounts of power given the right form of encouragement. and my ultimate dream with any engine is twincharged. so that you never have lag and can run a huge f@$k off turbo to give uber boost :P but i think I'm getting silly here :P go the gze for ease, or gte for more power

wow i was wondering the exact same thing like...2 days ago with the whole vacuum boosted brakes + positive manifold pressure. the answer is so simple lol, so as long as the valve is good and connections are tight the brake booster will remain under vacuum :P....weeee

1uz's are said to be freaking unbreakable arnt they? like stongest stock bottom end in a production car or some shizz

some wreckers every so often pick have a twin headlight ke70 if not i think they were common in the land of the long white cloud. teddy picked one up sometime i think, maybe try askin him, if not yeah an importerer. sorry i can't be more specific, theyre rare as hens teeth in oz but a bit more common in kiwi land i think. if you had a search around these forums i believe teddy mentions where he got his from and there are pics and talk about the conversion.

twin headlight ke70's had the chrome bumpers didnt they? mmm, twin headlight ke70 :drool: if your going chrome bumpers, go the twinheadlight aswell, so so worth the hassle :P

if your ever in search of the gregories manual just go to your local library and either photocopy the relevant section or borrow the book and "lose" it and pay the fine. if not ebay and autobarn have the book. its mighty handy, id recomend it :D

has any one done a direct comparison ie. dyno before and after with one of those fuel saver thingy's? everyone rights them off, me included, but the results would be interesting

can't give any info on fibreglass, however after rebuilding the rust in my car with metal plates and bogged over the top, in around the rear window, probably the thickest patch of bog in the car the paint has cracked. i am not sure if this is from stress across the chassis or because bog does this when applied thick. as ive heard it can crack when applied in thick layers, but not sure the reliability of the source. just thought id mention it as something to watch out for, both the thickness and where you are putting this bog and the stresses it will come under
