theres google for questions like these. http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&a...sa=N&tab=wi then once you knew what a leaf spring was, you can then continue your search in ways of lowering a leaf spring as was said, resetting, or lower blocks. there are hundreds of pages on the two alternatives and you need to decide which best suits you. but seeings as you drive cars with broken spark plugs and cut springs, i think you will be going the cheap shit c**t alternative. so let me be the first to say, stop taking advantage of the good nature of the regular forum members here and stop expecting to spoon sped, get your shit together, get a clue, and make a useful contribution. and yes, questions can be useful contributions, but nearly every question you ask will have been answered if you take some time to do some digging, and the ones that havnt are either incredibly stupid and the answer can be found without creating a thread. ie. what are leaf springs, or they are infact worth asking.

was that who you rung? he was recommended to me by a local shop (who do some unbelievable work) and i couldnt believe how helpful he was after ringing 5 or so ones off the qld transport list. wait til you meet him, he sounds very different to how he looks i thought haha. it can pay to get what he agreed to in writing, i didnt, because i keep changing the plans, i need to get hold of him soon and run the new idea by him, and after that i will probably get it all nutted out on paper so when it comes sign off day, we are both on the same page...

if your serious and have a rough idea what you wanna do, which it seems you do, the engineer I'm using is earl ********, he is actually passionate about cars and will do his best to argue with qld transport to get what you want. number is 0417 *** *** yes a shortened hilux diff is a good option, theres not alot of bolt in options. another good one is a holden borg warner with a decent lsd in it, seeings as the hilux lsds are shit unless you get someone who knows what theyre doing to have a play with them. as i said, check out toymods and here, everything has been done before so you can see what works for you :) *edit* pulled engineers details to save him mass phone calls, contact me if you are serious and want his info :D

pretty sure its doable, ring qld transport and talk to them, its the best way. search here and toymods and you will see what other mods people ahve done, then run it by ur engineer before doing it, so he can tell you if he will be happy with that amount of stopping power for that amount of horsepower. as was said, don't forget licensing restrictions if you are a P plater

in QLD yes, but what about NSW drivers in QLD? why are they allowed on faster roads if they can't match the speed, when u can be booked for driving too slowly?

I'm on a restricted license got done just over the limit drink driving, not being able to drive isnt so bad really... but atleast i can still drive to work
