  1. 215x24x21? over all clutch size 250?
  2. Hello, Trying to figure out what clutch i have without removing the clutch itself. So i can find a replacement for when the time comes to replace it. I know it has an xtreme clutch P.N CTY 22011 HD. This is handy if i wanted to replace it with a xtreme clutch, but i want an exedy heavy duty. I have rang and emailed xtreme to find out what clutch i have from what car but they don't want to give me the info they just want me to but another clutch. I have rang exedy and they don't seem to under stand i have a rwd 4agze and the conversation seems to go no where. So that is my problem This is all the info i have on the car ATM, its an ae71 with a 4agze from a ae92 with a t40 gearbox. Old clutch P.N CTY 22011 HD. And i know its different to my 4age with a t50. Does anyone have the answer for me please.
  3. yea for sure, I'm looking at a ke70 with a 4agze, so i wanted to know how much difference there is between the 4age and ze. the 7afe would be nice also coz i have considered a 7age conversion.
  4. Thats cool. Was more or less trying to see the difference is the power/torque curve over the rev range between a 4age and a 4agze. Know the ze has more power and torque but wasnt sure what the power curve was like. Cheers
  5. boo! anyone know who makes a front sway bar and adjustable panhard rod for a ke70/ae71? are ae86 the same?
  6. ah ok, only did a cold test with throttle closed.
  7. does anyone have a dyno sheet for a standard 4age bigport and a standard 4agze i can have a look at, or know where one is on the net?? thanks.
  8. Alright cool. Ill look into it. know if it will handle a turbo or charger mod later on?
  9. Mates bringing around another loom and we are gonna loom at mine. Also have a tvis on its way. Car isnt really a daily anymore. It was a yellow sticker job before i did the motor so lets scrap the street car bit. I plan on working it sometime in the future. Will the e-management be a good investment for basic upgrades like cams the throttle bodys, and could it handle a turbo or charger? thanks for the help also.
  10. point taken. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Greddy-emanage-ECU-Toyota-SW20-AW11-EP82-EP91-AE86-3SGTE-4AGE-4EFTE-MR-2-STARLET-/120943330204?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c28c8c39c&vxp=mtr worth looking at? will it solve my problem of a butchered loom?
  11. just remembered, tvis isnt hooked up from previous own. how much does this effect my problem?
  12. atm the car is rego'd still and I'm waiting for the day it gets a yellow sticker. i don't drive the car much anymore to avoid the sticker but it wont effect me if its not rego'd. i did this conversion because it all seem to fall into place at the right time for the right price, so far its cost me $1500 installed for my whole setup. rwd 4age and suspension componants. now that the car has all the extras in it I'm keen to race it in one form or another but don't feel its that nice of a motor. probably not wired up correctly, thats why i thought about going carbs to avoid the hassel of efi. in the near future its going to get some work done to it. so with the cost of an upgraded ecu and new loom, would i be better of going carbs with a cam or something?
  13. it wont run nice any lower than 25 degrease, i know its possibly a tooth out but i have tried that. all the running gear/motor and loom was out of a doner car. (4age in a ae71) i was working with what i already had. it is all in a t18 now. if you know of a loom to suit a t18 id be more than happy to try it but if i work th motor the factory ecu is useless, and will need an aftermarket ecu. with an aftermarket ecu can you get a loom to suit? side note compression tested at 150.
  14. I've got adjustable coilover front end, rack and pinion, whiteline sway bars all round, adjustable panhard rod, pedders heavy duty ford falcon rear springs and running some basic 15inch mags with 185/60/15 for the road. Car handles awesome and love the suspension setup has made such a difference. I'm using factory wiring lume that has been butchered to work on my car by the previous owner. Exhaust and throttle sensors are hooked up. On that note ecu is hooked up with the bare minimum requirements. Timing is running at 26 degrease, i know its a bit high but it runs like a dog anything lower, everything lines up nice on tdc. I have a feeling it has something to do with the ecu... That's why i was thinking of going back to carbs but id hate to convert it over and not be happy still. So I'm thinking while i have the car off the road is it worth working it a bit like cams and carbs? Doing 7age conversion? Possible get it ready for a charger or turbo? Also is it worth getting it ported and polished, i have a spare head from the old blown motor i might be able to get worked?
  15. Hi, I took my t18 4age out for a spin on the weekend, 1st real test of what it can do and sadly I'm not happy with it. I have a bigport efi 4age, it is definitely more powerful than my old 3tc once its above the 5k mark. It seems to run fine but really lacking under 5k, i understand 4age don't have much torque. So my reason for my topic is, what is the next upgrade. I'm pretty sure I'm going to convert back to carbs/twin carbs as i feel more comfortable playing with carbs over efi. good move or not? supercharge efi/carb? turbo efi/carb? or possible 7age conversion efi/carb? ideas and thoughts please? p.s car will be used for drift/track days/hill climb events.
  16. hi all, been reading up on a few 7age conversion and I'm pretty keen to give it ago. few things i wanna know 1st. read alot of 20v 4age being used, is it worth doing a bigport 16v and i have one in my rolla atm. also everyone i have read also lists a efi system are there any know problems with going twin webbers as I'm over the efi issues and feel more compfortable going back to carbs? also has anyone put one on a dyno, i would like to compare the 4age with the 7age.
  17. so how did you go with this conversion, anyone know what the difference between ae71 and ke cross members?
  18. also, what about all the plugs, like the two on the back of the engine, would i just unplug them from the loom or??
  19. I'm looking at a possible supercharger later on. an after market loom and computer would be costly and I'm finding it hard to sort the efi as my rolla was orginally carbi before i converted it. i have been offered a twin webber kit and dyno tunig for $400.
  20. hey people, i am currently trying to get my efi sorted on my 4age bigport, but i am having some problems.. and now my plans for the motor have changed and id like to go carbi. whats the deal with a dizzy, do i have to replace it with a carbi one or can i change the internals or can i leave it as it is? also I'm going twin webbers, is there any special requirements/mechanical work needed that i should know about other than removing the throttle body/intake? and is there anything else i need to change other than those 2 things?
  21. different from the bigport ones, the ones with the harness only have one big hole and the ones with the 4age have 2. ment to be higher cc then the 4age, 4age ones have smaller plug with red plastic, other ones have bigger plugs and green.. guy who recond then reckons there from something like a camry.
