Taz_Rx Posted June 12, 2007 Author Report Posted June 12, 2007 Who knows? crazy japas! Leigh - Meridian Motor Sport in Melbourne. $275, or $305 delivered. You can get them in a few different widths too, mine are just the smallest at like 1 inch. ;) Might come round and grrab that 3k sometime this week if thats cool too? Quote
flat out Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 are the wider ones still the same te27 design? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 13, 2007 Author Report Posted June 13, 2007 yeah same bolt pattern and design, just wider (1,2 and 3 inch IIRC) for that fully sik "SLR" look!! ;) Quote
madrolla68 Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 I request an update on this Si, and how did you go with the oil cooler adapter for me from ages ago mate. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 17, 2007 Author Report Posted June 17, 2007 Haven't really done anything to the car lately. Still be playing around with EFI stuff and gear boxes. Got an ra40 tailshaft on the weekend (thanks James), just gotta put the yoke onto a ke55 tailshaft. Clutch fork should be here today. Think I will just get the $165 custom clutch plate for now and try and do the ra40 clutch and pressure plate to k flywheel at a later date. So the W50 is nearly ready to go in!!! Don't know how the cross member will line up, but this can wait until it actually in the car as I'm assuming to 2 of the 4 holes in the car will line up with 2 of the 4 bolts in the cross member! Speaking of gear boxes, check your PM's. :) I can get you another sandwich plate like mine for $80, but if you have Bursons in Perth, probably best just to get one off them to save postage cost from here. Deffinately can get you one though if you want mate. :D Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 17, 2007 Author Report Posted June 17, 2007 Oh, also seriously considering buying another ECU as the digi 2 I bought has a 20psi internal MAP sensor and you can't run an external!! :) :D So does anybosy want a microtech Digi 2 pro, mapped for FJ20 for $200 plus postage?? Thats what I paid off ebay. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 12, 2007 Author Report Posted July 12, 2007 Well last week end was d-day for the carby kit. Spend seriously all last weekend working on this car. :) The owner of the car was given a list of stuff to be done befor he bought the car to me, think about 5% of this list was done!! :) So I had to re-wire the WHOLE engine bay. Anyway, got there in the end, only thing to do is put the back half of the exhaust in, which I will do tonight. Got the cooler fitted in this car better than it ever has been in both of mine, just fits between the uncut grill and stock radiator with some creative angle grinding - ofcourse I had to do this too. ;) Here's a couple of pics of "Ned's" new home..... Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 5, 2007 Author Report Posted October 5, 2007 Ok, now for the good car. Picked these up for the back of it... TRD 8-way adjustables!! Fitted them on the weekend and they're awesome. on 1, they're softer then what was in it, and on 8 they're soooo stiff. If you push on a back corner it'll pretty much lift the oposite front corner! Got another MX6 cooler... 7MGE 315cc Injectors fitted... 7k on the left, 7M on the right...obviously! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 5, 2007 Author Report Posted October 5, 2007 New eyes... And I never got around to putting this up at the time. This was the 4k, not 5k on 8psi. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 Got a couple of turbos to choose from now! T25G on the right, R32 GTR on the left..... This pic show the difference in the dump pipe flanges between the 2. Have a GTR dump pipe on the way. T25G is the top one. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 23, 2007 Author Report Posted October 23, 2007 PROGRESS!!!!...... My man with the welder is busy for the next 2 weeks, so its booked in for the 6th of Nov to have the manifold made. Quite happy with the manifold flange, turned out really well. Quote

Taz_Rx Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 Yeah I'll toe it down the day befor (public holiday). Just to make sure everything clears etc. I want it sitting behind the engine mount here. Quote

Ok ,are you going to have enough height to allow for the oil drain back,i had a small issue with mine and mine is higher than that. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 yeah mate should be cool. The turbo is just sitting on the cross member in that pic, with a jack under the dump pipe, so it can actually come back up as far as the manifold will allow. My oil return is right up the front of the sump at the moment, so I'll put a new one in a different sump back up near the turbo. Might even get some wanky speedflow fittings. :) Quote
