4ages Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Twas about 5 mins ago, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for a dirty cockroach crawling in my travel path to the shitter. Greasy cockroach guts on my heel now. As I stood on it I went for a slide on the tiles. Not happy as I can feel it on my foot long after its been wiped off. Nice, gotta love that. When you go to enquire about something and the sales person says yep this, this and this it's all good. You go ahead and buy the stuff and it's not even remotely what you need or at the least neally what he/she said. Quote
JiP Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Yet another day off that I have to give up for work. This is 3 weeks in a row. This time I've had to hire a hotel room near the city to accommodate for yet another work function with a tab of UNLIMITED. *sigh* Its so hard being a Maccas manager. Quote
dfunkt Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 sounds like you need a PA Jip... i know one that's available  :jamie: Quote
SoulSearcher Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 oh! I've got one... my dog ate a hole in my jeans!!! So I took my holey jeans to jeanswest to get another couple of pairs of the EXACT SAME TYPE, I didn't need to try them on and gave the old jeans to the sales person and asked for 2 more pairs. I got home, and they were the wrong ones...AARRGGH so on Sunday I went to a different store to return them, only to find out that they had the ones I wanted on SALE! YAY for me, so I ended up getting three pairs of jeans for $67.00 as opposed to two pairs (of the wrong ones) for $99. So it all worked out for the best, but geez couldn't they just give me the right ones in the first place?! Lesley  Quote
Kid-Ae Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 (edited) HOMEWORK! too much pressure put on by myself wanting for my parents to stay happy, and my parents who want me to succeed. I'm in year 11, ive taken a year 12 subject, i cannot keep up with the work, am falling behind, know I'm gunna fail it and no matter how hard i try to catch up, missing classes through illness and injury, and some unforseen circumstances has brought me to the point were I'm worried abt tellin my olds that I'm falling behind, as well as the teacher, as if i do that i will just get yelled at again by everybody.. Makes it worse when yah thumb on yah writing hand is so stuffed its not funny. IDK what to do.. I'm stuffed either way.. may as well just fail the subject and get yelled at by everybody which will make it harder for me to do other stuff.. forgot to mention me trying to catch up on around 2 weeks of work is impossible when i get homework for every other subject and I'm trying to deperately not fall behind.. nothing seems to work.. LIFES A BITCH.. RRGHRR.. *VENT* Edited April 21, 2008 by ROLLA'BOY Quote
7shades Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Take a day off to chill. Smoke a bowl if ya gotta. Nothing is that important... in fact the stress will make you worse, you won't be able to concentrate, and you'll get even LESS done. Take a step back... when you step forward again you'll find you stride twice as far with half the effort  Quote
Kid-Ae Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Honestly wish i could, but I'm so flat chat that its insane, my current time off is right now being on this site, trying to calm me.. My parents standards for me are always based off my sister, who, education wise, the smartest person around, always getting awards and they expect the same of me and are upset when i don't do it.. i'd love to tell them all to go and get you know what'd but that would stirr up new problems. i may as well take a long walk off a short bridge and enjoy the swim Quote

Better not, then i may relax, somewhat Quote
Tume Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 Shouldn't matter...After all you can do it again next year anyway..and if that doesn't work repeat yr 12 or do year 12 over 2 years. Personally the only reason I'm staying in school is because of VET, otherwise who knows. BAH! What annoys me is had an ANZAC March on Sunday. Some people just don't respect anything...These people dissapoint and anger me, for if it weren't for all those ANZAC and the Allied Forces, Australia wouldn't be as it is today. Quote

SoulSearcher Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 you know, my daughter told us she was having difficulties in school and we had meetings with her teachers and negotiated a resolution, we were so proud of her because she told us what was going on. You're stressing about unknowns, and expect your parents to react in a certain way, just tell them what's going on, and let them help you to shoulder the burden. In the long run, if you're doing your best and have been upfront about your struggles, they should (I'm the coolest parent ever according to my daughter so others may not be so forgiving) be proud of you for your achievements rather than be upset/mad/angry for your failures. You need to take a deep breath and chill. Quote
Gspec Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 HOMEWORK! I'm in year 11, ive taken a year 12 subject, i cannot keep up with the work, am falling behind Well if ya spent less time on Rollaclub, kiddy porn forums and MSN you wouldn't be so far behind with your home work  Quote
Golberg Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 It's a Year 12 subject that I'm far behind in :) Does it matter if you fail an enhancement (Year 12 subject) for your Year 11 studies? Better not, then i may relax, somewhat I was basically in the same situation, I was doing one year 12 subject and I was going miserably in it. I dropped out of the subject right before the HSC and then started it again with my actual year. Totally ripped the subject second time around. All in all Yr11 doesn't count for much in the grand scheme of things. Again similarly my sister was the 96.9 UAI child who did a double degree at uni with honors in one subject and got a faculty award for it all. So I had some expectations to live up to from my parents there. There was a hell of a lot of things going on in my life during Yr12, best time for it ey. I struggled to see the point in the HSC when the things which were so much closer to me really needed my attention. Got to about 5 weeks before the exams and I couldn't cope, I went to the principal and told her I wanted to quit, she coaxed me into continuing (which was the smart thing because I was so close to finishing). Did all the exams and was so happy it was all over, I couldn't give a stuff about what I got the important thing was that it was over. Got my UAI back, got 79.9 which I am very happy with and got accepted into uni. Went stuff that, headed off to TAFE and am now doing a panel beating pre-apprenticeship course and an IT diploma. All my mates are now at uni (I'm the only one who didn't go), I'm loving TAFE, they're hating uni and life's great. :jamie: Ask yourself this, are you hell bent on going to uni? if not then you don't need a great UAI if thats the case, aim to do reasonably and keep up a life outside of school and you'll get through it. Do a TAFE diploma, you'll end up way ahead of those at uni, you wont have mounds of HECS debt and you'll get a decent job after only a year. Note: I'm in NSW so if you are somewhere else then things may work differently Quote
