towe001 Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Nar, just a quote from Bill Cosby's "Noah" Noah - How you gonna do it? God - I'm gonna make it rain for a thousand days and drown 'em right out Noah - Right! Noah - Listen to this, you'll save water Let it rain for 40 days and 40 nights And wait for the sewers back up God - Right! Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Potholes, so many. There is one 200mm deep, 400 wide and about 800mm long on the Steve Irvin highway in a 100 zone. Both cars lowered with low profile tyres. Funny watching people in the rear view mirror tailgating you as you are going slow trying to avoid them, and nail square into them as they don't see them coming. You deserve it for tailgating in this weather, I hope your rims are F%$KED. Maybe if you had your lights on you may have seen them too. Quote
towe001 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 One of the reasons i don't like low profile tires. I like the idea of some flex in the sidewalls. What makes it even worse with those phucker that don't have the lights on is that if you hit one (like as you come out of a side street) your in the wrong no matter how shutty the bad weather is. As a solicitor once told me - its only a commonsense rule. About the only thing you can do is to be careful and keep your eyes open. And to think just how many accidents could have been avoided if the lights had been turned on. The next thing on my pet hate list is parents that don't bother strapping in their kid/s. Saw one today while we were sitting at the lights. 3 year old in the back hanging her head out of the window. Quote
7shades Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 On that note... If you're turning your lights on, turn the LIGHTS on, not just the parkers. Its so others can see YOU, not so you can see... Quote
AE94 Driver Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I have a lot of gear grinding. :P I seem to have many problems with cyclists. Today when I was driving my AE94 sedan I indicated to go into the left lane and started to move into it when a cyclist went flying past, causing me to slam on the brakes and honk the horn. He looked round, right at me, carried on cycling. Then 5 seconds later he turns round stares at me again. I also hate many 4X4 drivers. I had a big Mitsubishi Pajero tailgating me one time for sticking to the speed limit and he was towing a trailer. I have driven a relative's Land Cruiser Prado with a loaded trailer, and it is a lot harder to stop the thing with a trailer than without a trailer. People who think they own the roads, or when people cut corners, or even needlessly be on the centre of the road making me slow down. Quite a few P platers. I am a P plater myself in NSW, and I have seen many P platers, usually in a high-powered modern car show off by speeding off and doing dangerously high speeds, potentially risking everyone else on the road. I had some guy who was in a modded Nissan Pulsar pull up in the lane next to me at traffic lights, revving his engine like mad and it was like he wanted to race me as he was staring at me. The lights turned green and he sped off really fast, and I saw he had red P plates on. :| Quote
Istartfires Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 i hate doing pad work with someone that can't remember jab cross hook. its not that f@$king hard, and if you can't move fast enough or remember that a kick is next i am going to brake you ribs ;0 Quote

He looked round, right at me, carried on cycling. Then 5 seconds later he turns round stares at me again. That's okay, I'm a cyclist, and I don't like you, either. Look around more. Be aware that there's not just cars out there. Got one of those as well. And the trailer. The brakes on my 4x4 are huge because some Teutonic square head actually thought about what it can do. Without the trailer, it probably pulls up better than your Corolla. Brakes on the trailer are pretty flash, too. People who think they own the roads, or when people cut corners, or even needlessly be on the centre of the road making me slow down. I pay $2500 in rego per year. Therefore I do own more of it than you do. Deal with it. Quite a few P platers. Des Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I love P platers. They take the attention off me. Quote
Istartfires Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 i agree with spandex bandits being a pain in the ass, going down henley beach road with three cyclests riding next too eachother taking up all the road then say they are the victims, just because your bike cost more than my corolla does not mean you own the road Quote

towe001 Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Crazy Johns and Vodafone. Not me, i'm with optus. Whilst not as good as phone coverage as telstra but its still a lot better then vodafail. Amber got conned into the htc phone. The itself is good so far, but the crazy johns after service and vodafail's coverage is shit. Quote
