smacko84
Wasnt sure where to post this one. Just wanted to know what a stock 4AC would be putting out in kw? I don't particularly want to embarrass myself by throwing her on a dyno and pumping out a whole 20kw but I'm curious is all. Does anyone know? Trev
They ranged from 57 - 67 flywheel Kw's.
LittleRedSpirit
My spirit brochure claims 58kw, and a whopping 127NM of torque. Put it on a dyno, that would be so funny!
Robert
my estimate would be 40 rwkws from a fresh stock one, might get to 50 with a carb and exhaust.
smacko84
So if I'm lucky i'd be pushin 30kw?? Cos its a bit tired. See what happens next time there is a dyno day around the place. Might throw it on there for shits and giggles, will depend on funds :P Cheers guys
Robert
Probly 30 if its pretty thrashed, does it go better than a 4k :P , cause an average 4k would put out about 30 kwatw.

Trev
:P Thats pretty good, most stock bigports make about that. They make power in the 70-75kw area.... Edited August 21, 2007 by Trev
beerhead
For extra amusement pipe up a cream bulb dispenser to the intake and put methanol in the windscreen wiper bottle down there too :D easy 20kw :P

Gecko71
My 4AC (110,000km) ran a 43kW at the flywheel, I put a Weber on and it run 43kW at the wheels now, about 63 at the flywheel.
Silver_Seca_AE82
Other than chucking a sports exhaust and different carb on there, what other cheap mods would benefit a 4ac? Or even just some certain tweaks that give them a bit more go? I've got a 4ac but I don't want to do anything major. One because I'm broke :D and two it'll be up for a re-con in about 50k anyway.
