  2. I should be there. Be in a Ke70 sedan. Not really show worthy though, lol. Actually, I may have to work.
  3. So, I'm getting close to finally dropping a 4age into my ke70. The motor is a small port and currently has a RWD alternator mount (the one under the inlet manifold) and is running the standard 5-rib cogs on the alternator, crank and water pump. The motor will be running without air-conditioning and power steering. My question is; is there an off the shelf belt to suit my current water pump/alternator set up? Is there a part number? If not, what have you done to substitute this? Thanks. Edit: I'm in Brisbane if anyone can recommend any places.
  4. Just a reminder that the event is this coming saturday.
  5. The WRC at Coffs Harbour saw Ryan Smart in the Corolla Sportivo come second in the ARC round. Drive shaft troubles unfortunately saw him drop from the lead on the final day. In the Classic field, Tony Scott was missing in action after heavy rain decimated the field on Friday’s first full day of competition. Clay Badenoch and Luke Bulten in the TE27 finished in tenth place (classics) despite a heavy roll on the Saturday and fighting a failing clutch all through Sunday. As the only remaining glass left in the car was the rear window, they donned goggles for the final 7 stages. Despite this, they still set competitive times against the similarly powered (2TG) Celica of Chris Harbech.
  6. There will be a Come and Try Day hosted by Brisbane Sporting Car Club on the 24th of September at the Sunshine Coast. The event will start at 7:30am (finishing 3:30pm) and is located at 864 Bli Bli Yandina Rd, Bli Bli, Sunshine Coast. The course is made up of 2 grass tracks totaling approximately 3km long through sugar cane fields. Navigators are optional (and do not require a CAMS license). There will be professional drivers and navigators present to give tuition. There will also be a raffle to win 5 laps in a Rally Car. Juniors are welcome. CAMS license is needed for the driver (Level 1, Level 2S or Level 2SJ required). Information and Paperwork night 21/09/2011 at BSCC club rooms 7:30pm. (BSCC club rooms: Unit 16-23 Ashtan Place, Banyo, QLD 4014). Further Information available at BSCC website along with Supplementary Regulations and Entry Form: http://bscc.asn.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=79:khanacross-and-come-and-try-event
  7. My fathers competing in an old Celica and i'll be running service crew. See you all there.
  8. What about SA63 Celica struts?
  9. Hey guys, So i'm finally starting my 4AGE conversion and I've been told not to bother getting the car engineered without having ventilated discs on the front. Just wondering if someone could provide a list of struts with ventilated discs that would bolt straight into a KE70. (I already know AE86 struts fit). Thanks.
  10. Cheers, mate. Any idea on what you think he would charge me?
  11. Just wondering if anyone knows of any good welding places in Brisbane that have done or can do a cut'n'shut for a 4AGE red top plenum manifold? Thanks.
  12. I'm watching "The men who stare at goats" at the moment. Clooney drives a Ke70 through the desert and hits a landmine. Never seen a Ke70 fly before :P
  13. Love the sound of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY--2UTzom4
  14. Just a bit of advice from your local Hog's Breath Employee, Bookings should be little problem. I asked one of the waitresses, and she said for a table of our size (15-20 people), they expect at least two days notice for a booking. So don't feel as though you have to make a decision now. A weeks notice should be plenty. (This is considering it is still happening on the 23rd)
  15. Yes, I do mean rally car. Disregard the 5-10 years, for all i know the process could happen sooner or later. The car is a daily driver, but is already taking part in minor rally and touring road events as it is.
  16. My biggest concern lies in getting the wiring right (or the cost if I have someone do it). The car in question will eventually become a forest car within the next five to ten years, essentially running the carb set up I mentioned before. So I ask myself, why go EFI when it will soon be running Carbs anyway? It is a daily driver, so I see the benifit of EFI, however, it only does about 100km a week, if that.
  17. I have a bit of a dilema. I'm currently running a weber'd up 4AC KE70 on my P's. It's a good little car, around 90hp, plenty to play with. Despite of this, I will be upgrading to a 4AG when i'm off my P's and onto open in a bid for a bit more power. The question lies in whether I should go for Carbs or Injectors? The two options I am tossing up is a directly transplanting a small port into the car (the usual 4AGE conversion), or to go with the 16v head (and block) with twin 40mm solex's/weber's/dellorto's. I know the biggest concern with the carbs will be the fuel consumption, but that is something that does not conern me greatly. Plus, I have a bit of a soft spot for Carbs, I'm a bit more proficient with them than I am with EFI engines. I just ask for some feedback on what everyone's personal preferences and experiences are, and why? Thanks.

  19. Not sure if they'll give us all a discount :P
  20. Holy Crap. Here I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to make it due to work, but you guys happen to be dining where I work. I'll try to get it off, but if not, hope you like my cooking. I'll be there as long as I get two weeks notice to make sure i'm not cooking for you guys.
  21. Cost wise i'm looking for reasonably cheap, second hand struts or discs that just bolt straight in. I'm still a P-plater, so I cannot do anything requiring a mod plate.
  22. Hey guys. So essentially I was at Wivenhoe Dam the other week competing in a TRE only to find that my brakes on my Ke70 ran out of bite about half way through the special stages. I'm looking to upgrade to at least a set of ventilated discs on the front and was wondering what my options are as far as strut or disc swaps go? Thanks. Stewart.
  23. Check they are for a right hand drive car.
