hiya boyz and girlz, I was looking at some info on the 2zzge and I know that lotus used this engine in a MR lay out, but has anyone seen or know of any one that is in RWD lay out? Maybe in a rolla.

One of the companies that make Lotus 7 replicas has a version available with the 1ZZ-FE and the 2ZZ-GE. But it uses a Ford 5-speed gearbox. :D

The one from Craig is not in a Toyota.

 

Ant from Kaizen is also doing a RWD 2ZZ which is going into one of his AE86's eventually.

what stops me from looking into this further is rebuildability issues and weaknesses that the engine has. I will still with my 4AG/F power till then.

I think it's with a custom bellhousing. I presume they bulk buy them for the Clubman kits.

Probably not done often as Toyota already has a similar, higher-spec engine already set up for rwd duties; the BEAMS 3sge from the JDM RS 200 Altezza.
