olskool Posted December 21, 2007 Author Report Posted December 21, 2007 Well all I gotta say is if there is anything you guys need just PM me and we can sort out something. I will need to know a bit of info like the positioning of the certain thing you need. Say you needed an overflow bottle I would need to know the exact location in the engine bay that you would need it and I can fabricate a bracket so it is a simple bolt on procedure. Anyway thanks for all the comments guys, it really appreciated.. As for what I had in me rolla on the cruz it was the stocka. I wanna make sure that I have everything done properly and it all works perfect. I am bit of a perfectionist. Again, thanks for all the comments. During the holidays, will be doing some more work on the conversion. :lolcry: Quote

olskool Posted December 23, 2007 Author Report Posted December 23, 2007 I hope it will be done by then. All I gotta do is just knuckle down and get it done. But guess what I won't be able to make it to that cruz which really sux. It is my grandpa's bday on that day. So that means that I will definitely have it done by the next cruz after that. It's awesome to see such good organisation, good on ya mick. :y: Quote

olskool Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 Hey guys, got some bad news. I just discovered that the 86kw 4age that I bought has blown piston rings. THAT SUCKS. :lolcry: anyway I was planning on rebuilding the engine from scratch until I got a quote for it. So I have just recently purchased a 100kw 4age from sss. Guess what that means the inlet plenum that I made won't fit. I thought it would but the port holes don't line up. I have already scrapped it considering it was aluminium along with some other aluminium parts. So, again I travel the path of making a custom inlet plenum, but like everything the second time round it always turns out better. I have done some research on the intake of a car and have found out that the longer the runners the more torque, the shorter the runners the more revs. So effectively I am aiming for dead on half way in between. This weekend I will be customising my lower control arms. All I gotta do is make the steering lock plate a bit bigger to suit the celica struts. This is not a hard job. I will be getting some brand new pads and rotors for the celica brakes, and then I will get some news pads and rotors for the pintara diff, which mind you will be getting shortened shortly. :drgrim: Anyway, I would like to thank all you guys for all your words of advice and everything. Thanks. Will keep you updated as more happens. Quote
