I'll let you know in a day or so.... Edited March 19, 2008 by PHATKE20S Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Now here's the stock radio. Just wondering if anyone knows if the other knob is meant to be blank or labeled as I need to find one. Yeah its meant to have writing on it. It is just an "S" on the knob. i can get you a picture of mine if need be. Quote
JiP Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 Yes that would be sweet. thanks guys. I went to get a quote to have my drivers seat repaired and repadded today and to have the top of the back seat redone as its cracked. Turns out that I won't be able to have it in that colour so I'll be getting the "New" sections painted. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Mad little car u got there but i didnt think with those mats it would pass rego? tried that and the mechanic said no so i got some carpet ordered in, put in then she passed lol.. pain in the arse. But yeah I'm loving this car it's so nice and pure :sob: Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 UPDATE TIME!! Well here is my dash. Problem: Its cracked! I managed to score a "Brand New Genuine" dash from a US member. After a lot of messing around, I finally got the old cracked dash out. And now the old dash beside the new one. After a lot of meddling, the new dash is in. PROBLEM: New dash is on top, old dash is on the bottom. The moulded holes are completely different. I'm confused as to what to do... Hopefully I'll sort it out tomorrow. I'm assuming if I don't stick the screws into these slots that the corners will curl up. Quote
Trev Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Thats a big difference, Pity bout the brackets but I'm sure you can sort something out. Quote
Raven Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I'll suss mine out on the weekend and get your some pics. Me thinks thats where the air vent may screw into on one of the screw holes, but can't be too sure as I don't have a dash or car to access at this point in time. Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 There is one screw that screws the dash to the frame, while the vents screw into the frame (Not through the dash) Quote
Medicine_Man Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Was the US one for a Left Hand Drive vehicle? Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 It doesn't matter. The xE2x dash is symmetrical. Plus the dash was stamped with "KE20" Quote
Medicine_Man Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I'm saying that if you flip it 180 are the holes on the same side? Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 Yes. The fact is that rthe new dash has holes that the old one doesn't. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Well I'm sure if it doesnt end up fitting in then you could put the dash into one of your other rolla's. I will be watching to see what you end up doing with your dash, because mine is F*%@ed up worse than yours is. Good luck with it all. i got no idea What the go is with the 2 holes. Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 Considering it costed me $375 delivered, I kinda wish I paid the extra $20 and had my Dash Restorer guy just reconstruct me a new one. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 (edited) well i just had a quick look at my car, it has 2 bolt holes like the new dash has. the ones that go through the vent into the dash. Gimme a few mins and ill get a picture for you. Edited April 2, 2008 by KE70-from-mt-panorama Quote
