shiryo Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Nice car mate, was cool meeting you last Thursday. Always bargains to be had on YAJ, i scored my 14x7.5-6 mk2s for 300$ and they were in good nick. Hit up Streeter and you're set. Quote
Doogs Posted October 8, 2013 Author Report Posted October 8, 2013 With your front shocks; what is the part no as a mater of interest? Hey Bowler, The part number is 363046 which I located by searching a few forums, when my mate from Burson's looked it up he said that was not an Australian part number. Summit and a few other websites stock them; http://www.summitracing.com/dom/parts/kyb-363046/overview/ Nice car mate, was cool meeting you last Thursday. Always bargains to be had on YAJ, i scored my 14x7.5-6 mk2s for 300$ and they were in good nick. Hit up Streeter and you're set. Thanks mate, it would be great to organise a few more cruises over the coming months. I have finished baffling the sump and modifying the oil pickup to suit the bigger sump. Not a lot else happening at the moment, pretty busy with uni! Sorry I used the crap camera for these ones; Quote
glenpos Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 man this thing is nice, should be sweet with the new motor :) cheers Quote
Doogs Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 updates? Not really, split a heater hose 500m from home the other day so that was pretty lucky! Managed to get it home and changed without any signs of other damage. Once exams and the SAE comp is over I will get stuck in again. Any time I have had recently has been dedicated to driving the cars or fixing dramas with the MR2. Quote
Doogs Posted November 16, 2013 Author Report Posted November 16, 2013 One of the guys at uni has been doing some testing on a machine that de-carbonises an engine, by running a hydrogen/oxgen mixture through the engine whilst at idle for 40mins. As part of the testing he did a before and after run on the chassis dyno. For a laugh I put the Corolla up for the tests so I could get a base power figure to compare to once the 5k is built. Let's just say I hope to double this with the 5k! Before the gas treatment; After gas treatment; Quote
azza91 Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 so much power there doogs, be careful!! 5k should be an improvement. Quote
Doogs Posted November 17, 2013 Author Report Posted November 17, 2013 so much power there doogs, be careful!! 5k should be an improvement. Haha yeah what can I say, it is a daily weapon! Doogs Posted December 6, 2013 Author Report Posted December 6, 2013 So I finally got around to painting and mounting the front lip before Classic Japan :) I also lowered the rear end some more and it looks heaps better, still needs better wheels etc but that is well down the list. Once the uni racecar stuff is over at the end of next week I will be able to get things happening on the motor and brakes again. I think adjustable LCAs will be on the cards too as I haven't managed to confirm the details on putting KE20 ball joints in 31 LCAs, and I don't want to enlarge the taper in my arms. Keeping this setup will also allow me to use technotoytuning bits down the track that were designed for KP61 Starlets. Pic courtesy of Josh. Quote

Rose joint steering and suspension parts can't be steel centered for road use in Vic. Front lip looks great. Golf 2 piece? Quote
