Was a great day aside from my problems... and taking 3 hours to *** get home.

 

So the Battlevan just suddenly dies on the highway just past the Mobil near Caloundra turn off. The traffic there was already shithouse.

 

Finally get it started again after 20 minutes and crawl down the highway for a fair while. Cue Caboolture and I hit the storm. This *** thing had rain like this / and huge wind gusts. I detour along Morayfield Rd for a bit and there's big branches and shit all over the road. Finally get home at 6pm... I'm mega shagged but I do have some good photos (I'll upload them this week) and a now VERY clean car :lolcry:

same deal, left at 2:10pm got home just before 6, stupid traffic jam, then fuel pump issues, then huge rain, light hail and lightning, thanks to the guys who stopped to see if i was ok.

 

Sunburn is killer, was a nice drive, good to meet a few of you.

Pays to know the roads then, i left at about 3pm i think.....drove down to the twin mobile's on the highway...saw the traffic, turned off at the mobile then took the old highway around it and got back on at toorbul. Proceeded down the highway again to the roadworks and got stuck a little there for bout 10mins....kept driving and trying to beat the storm home having some fun with a older WRX on the highway :hmm:. Got home about 30mins before the storm hit at my place in bracken ridge. :lolcry:

 

Great day out....little pissed off i put sunscreen on 4 times and still got burnt. It was 30+spf sunscreen too.....fkn grrr.
