Lexxi[ke35] Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 You know what? Just stick in a Bugati Veyron engine in it. Fastest car in the world anybody?? Quote
LukeAE71 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 You know what? Just stick in a Bugati Veyron engine in it. Fastest car in the world anybody?? :) that would defeat the purpose of it being a budget burnout car :) Quote
trav_555 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Go the 1J, cool engine and Toyota still, Though i do love my Crusty Pushrod engines, especially a nicely cammed v8 But a 1J would be cooler for its psssht sound AHAHAHAHAHA :) +1 For 1J Travis out. Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 (edited) hahah, maybe. But no thanks. I'm a holden man (even before corollas). Figured with a 308. no firewall mods will be needed and as the autos in rollas were Traumatics an Aussie 4spd should fit in no worries. I don't wanna f@$k around with all this EFI stuff. Also, instantly id but up for another turbo. and I don't really wanna have to worry about damaging a turbo. I just want something i can jump in and skid till my hearts content. Ride hard, put away wet :) I wont be going for rego at all. Purely a skidder :) Edited May 18, 2009 by SLO-030 Quote
Doogs Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I wont be going for rego at all. Purely a skidder :) Makes sense. With all your talk of stripping the interior I was beginning to wonder. Quote
high_rpm Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 I just want something i can jump in and skid till my hearts content. Ride hard, put away wet :y: then why the hell are you putting a aussie 4 speed in it lol, id get a trimatic patern 308 and a built trimatic bolt the trimatic in then chuck the motor in and make up the mounts there was a ke38 i think with a injected 5.0 in it plenty of room in the bay, more then in my torana Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Posted May 19, 2009 Yea, talked to a guy at work today and looks as if i will be getting a trimatic. I'm not a big fan of autos, BUT if i can rip more skids then I'm all for it. SWEET, so the 308 should drop in with no worries. Just hope theres enough room for some stocko headers. Quote
high_rpm Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 yeh the one at gazzanats had standerd hsv headers modified to fit around the steering box ect, so i would say you will either have to run cast manifolds or modify some extractors Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 20, 2009 Author Report Posted May 20, 2009 Most likely just gonna run cast headers. 2 or 2.5in pipe from the headers, back to a pair of mufflers then dump in front of the rear wheels. Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 24, 2009 Author Report Posted May 24, 2009 don't bother with a 308, Go 1jz! Thanks for the edit mate  Engine/Gearbox and Tailshaft are out. All the wiring has been stripped and have started from scratch. I know what its like having to intergrate old and new so its all new wiring now. Switches and relays have been wired for gauges, lights, thermos, coil and am after a 70A relay for the starter motor. Have decided to keep the manual pedal box in the beast. I shall keep the regular braking system for the front brakes. Then hook up a PBR trailer MC to the clutch pedal and connect it to the rear brakes. Effectivly giving me a hydraulic foot opperated "handbrake" to be able to lock up the rears. Yet still use the front brakes to pull me up like normal. Got a price on a 253/Trimatic and 308/Trimatic coming in at 1200 and 1500 respectivly. The guys sold me a 253 would be a better burnout engine as they rev a bit better and can really scream. Going to run headlights and rear lights as there is the possibility of night time burnouts. And cus I reckon it looks wicked with plumes of smoke on the pad, the car isnt visible but you can see the two beams of light cutting sick in the middle of it all :hmm: Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 24, 2009 Author Report Posted May 24, 2009 Pics of what? Just a stripped out shell. but i shal get some pics when i get another camera, mine somehow had the screen smashed  Quote

Definitley get the 308. 253's and 308's have the same stroke and rev just as hard plus you can't go wrong with more cubes! A well tuned 308 will always out pull a 253, plus if you wanted to you could also go down the path of a 355 stroker and some VN Efi heads, turbo etc etc, go crazy! Some thing along the lines of this beast Blown Corolla Edited May 24, 2009 by nikctime21 Quote
