Hehe.. good thing its in Finnish then. There`s a english flag on the left side. Click it and it makes more sense.

if you don't change the stroke u don't change the capacity, your just increasing the compression.

remember, its swept volume. bore x stroke.

so when you minused 5 mm because you were decking the block 5mm, why did you do it? the stroke never changed...

have you considered 1g rods? they work in 4ks with 1g pistons, and i think 4k pistons, i did a thread on it, have a look, dunno what the pin to crown of piston height difference is on a 4a piston, but it may come close, and give you bullet proof rods that fit the crank properly

What is the point? His 286 degs cam will make peak power between 7500-8000 which is fine on a stock 5k bottom end.

he did say extremely tough, only to go on to say he wants to build a rev box NA motor

i just think he wont make the power he is aiming for, and will want to turbo the sucker, and he may as well have a bullet proof bottom end in there that will be cheap to build, the first time round

Agree totally.

Yes but with 4age pistons and a decked block, it ain't going to be easy to get the CR needed to run decent boost.

It is just another dreamers thread.

BTW block is decked as 4age pistons have the pin more towards the top of the piston and are less top heavy like K motor items.

This is why block decking is needed.

Also 1G rods have the same part number as some 4K rods so why not stock rods just use 1G pistons in a 4K and turbo.

Cheers

dreamers thread it may be, but we can all play that game

which 4k rods? not a common 4k i wouldnt think, the two or three ive pulled down have had baby rods compared to any 1g ive played with.

after driving 4ks and 4ages, i wouldnt waste big dollars on a k motor, they are cheap fun, but if your getting serious there are much better alternatives...

but thats up to the OP, he could run the 4a pistons and not deck the block and turbo it, shit for cylinder design, but would do the job of keeping compression low enough for some good boost.

yes i want a rev box n/a i aint dreaming i do have the want and hopefully the money to go ahead with this.I don't want a turbo i want a revy 4 or 5k engine

FYI I NOW I WONT MAKE 100RWKW ILL BE HAPPY WID 70ISH JUST GETTING MY POINT ACROSS THAT IMSERIOUS ABOUT THIS CHEERS.

I'm looking at the 60 though option atmo

Also looking to see if i can go larger then 60 thou over in the bores but havent seen anything larger then this yet

Can U run Hi Comp while running nitrous ?

so which head are you guys with 4a pistons running? twin squish?

Hardy anybody here would know what "twin squish" means Todd. You need to talk in "dished" or "flat top" terms for us Aussie.
