ok so ive got an 84 slanty ke70 and atm its got no balls what so ever .. what are some cheap and simple mods to get a little bit more power out of it to get it sliding in the dry??

goodluck getting a 4k to slide in the dry without spending rediculous cash on it.

Weld the diff and then use mad driving skillz LOL.

You probably wont be able to actually drift with a 4k,

The best would be just a little power slide on the exit.

all standard atm but ive got lowered springs and shocks sorted for the rear and front coilovers are currently being sourced .. i only got the car this sunday just past and the motor is still in good nick for its age so I'm not really wanting to swap it out til it blows up on me .. 4age is in the works just not at this point in time .. was just looking for a little bit more out of it

 

 

also what sort of power does the stock 4k motor make??

2 killerwasps!!!, apparently stock output is...48kw, so maybe in the 30's? somewhere would be a safe bet, regardless, its not too much to play with. :(

I'd advise recognising that dropping funds on the 4K when you're already planning to 4AGE it would be a waste.

The amount it'd cost to get a 4K pumping enough to drift properwise could end up being the difference between a 4AGE and a 4AGTE in the future. I'd not worry about it, lock the diff up and practice in the wet until you're ready to do your engine swap...

USE THE HANDBRAKE :(

yea you could just go really fast and give it a nice handbrake, that should get you sideways in the dry, i hope this is on a nice safe race track too

just do what i did hook up some diesel squirters give them a quick squirt before a round about followed by a clutch kick and bam your off side ways... the look on peoples faces when your 20 something year old car is going sideways with a bit of smoke following is priceles just watch out for curbs lol

make a massive water tank out of plexiglass and keep it in your boot, put 2 window washer pumps and make the hoses go onto the front half of the tyre

when you wanna skid in the dry you make the road wet :(

just put the 4age in asap.

Its nearly impossible to get a 4k to drift. Believe me ive tryed.

 

4age is surefire way to get a ke70 back end out!

I hope its a shitty car to begin with, I really feel miffed when the tidy neat drivable cars go to people with those skillz...

 

You are talking about drift racing the car, not driving like a cockhead on public roads?
