greenmac80 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 ok so i've jst been for my first smash thru the twisties since i've replaced my pitman arm and installed the strut brace. and all i can say is wow! every ke should have a strut brace. massive difference once your giving the car shit. was chasing an xr6 and even though he had waay more power.. i caught him up no worries by out braking and out handling. so was very fun. so now i'm happy with how the car feels roll and flex wise. on to my next suspension project. making my own tie rod adjusters.. much longer than standard. then couple this with adjustable LCA's. greenmac80 Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 so finally a productive wkend on the daily. been hella busy helping out other people so haven't got much done. trying to sort out some of the conversion parts.. waiting on a mate for CAD drawings. ok so to go with the conversion i'm updating my gauges. also the CD player being mounted at the top rattled on the dash bracing. so this needed to addressed. so some piccies. that tach will come up for sale soonish.. its not the same series as the speedo so i'll be buying the same tach to match em all. and this is where i'm at with the boot install which i've been meaning to do for ages. a lot more tricky than i'd thought. Evan G Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) with your new dash do you have any left/right indicator lights to tell you if your indicators are on? and oil pressure/ charging light/ highbeam? Edited August 9, 2010 by Evan G Quote
greenmac80 Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 not atm the moment to the lights.. but yes i will have them.. just trying to decide how exactly i want to go about it. most likely LED's with a chrome bezel. and i've though of getting CHARGE and BRAKE and OIL lasercut into plastic. although that may be very exxy.
