The head-gasket problem should only be a problem up until the first change, it was a production defect that can be fixed once and for all by the correct gasket and torquing procedure.

 

Sounds like your old man has warped the head.

 

 

That would not surpise me in the slightest. Though the cylinder walls in those things is surpisingly thin.

this kind of deal in a ke70 would be more realistic? i want more power... but i want something a little different, and it has to be n/a.

 

i've managed to hunt down a 1G-GUE and everything ($850 at brisbane motor imports if anyone's interested) but at the moment i just want to plan from every angle and make sure it will work without too much fuss... (like cutting the fire wall :blinks: ) if it comes to it, i'll put in a 4AGE running ITB's so i can at least slide it round a corner :(
