On a serious note, why are all you guys against people drifting? Is it cos its more commercial now than it used to be that its "sold out" as such and it's not cool to you guys anymore?

I think one reason is all the drift wannabes getting around telling everybody we've been doing everything wrong all these years, and that drifting is the ultimate motorsport.......

yes that is a good point.

i mean, i like drifting, but not to the point where i would say that grip racing is 'wrong'. i enjoy grip racing as much as drift.

It's not just driving style, hell, each to there own. It's also car set up, engine theory, roll cage construction etc. I know some drift exponents who are very good at what they do and you can have constuctive technical discussions with them. It comes down to the wannabe factor for me I think.....

yea, thats a fair comment.

i think there is a difference between getting out on the track and having a go, even if your not that good or your just learning, and people that try and do it for some cool status, or because everyone else is doing it.

 

i can't talk because i don't have a license yet (12 days :D), but from the events ive been to, those are some of the types of people that come across to me.

Everyone has the benefit of the doubt, right up to the point where they annoy me! :D
